I also find it ironic when Gabriel said that Rick and his group are dangerous and can't be trusted, yet he locked himself in a church and let people die just to save his own skin.  He'd be dead if it wasn't for Rick and his group.

I know I certainly would have done things differently.

...though I guess it'd look pretty bad if Alexandria's gang didn't return at all and Rick's did. Especially with Deanna already aware more and more of their gang is taking over positions of power.

Just sad Daryl is currently outside the community. A good fire could always use more gasoline in the mix. lol

Maybe Maggie will deal with Gabriel. She already didn't like him before so let's see how much farther it escalates.

I felt like the deaths in this episode were all gruesome. They were just so graphic and it felt like they'd never end. I actually screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...ah. when Noah got pulled in. So that lightened the mood.

It's like instead of calling it Better Call Saul, they called it Still Breaking Bad.

Anyway, I'm actually looking forward to the series. Excited that Dave Erickson is supposed to be the showrunner, his writing and limited production was fantastic on Sons of Anarchy. I also think Kim Dickens is going to make for a good lead.

At first I wasn't really looking forward to the spinoff series, but since they mentioned that it would go into how the plague was supposedly started, I might catch a glimpse of it during the summer.

As for the episode, I was quite satisfied with the ending.  I kind of wish Glenn killed Nicholas though, but since the show is following the comics these days, he's gonna stick around for quite a while. :\

I'm so happy they've got Morgan back on the show now.  He's pretty mean with his stick too.

 

And TIL his actor is British.

Oh. Shit. That episode. 

I mean, I'm on issue 109 in the comics and had an idea of what was happening, but I was still impressed with how it all played out.

Sooo good.

Great to see Morgan back. And man was he such a badass.
And Scarol... shit don't mess with her. Glad they kept her over Andrea with the direction she's been heading.

 

Really liked that moment Aaron and Daryl shared in the car. lol "Just let me finish my smoke." Such a badass mofo. lol

 

So what do you guys think? The ones that read the comics anyways.

Morgan and Jesus's character going to be combined for the tv show?

The way Morgan handled himself seems likely imo.

 

Looking forward to the prequel series.
Name still sucks but... I guess it's kinda fitting.

Just glad to have something to hold me over between seasons, and that the comic can't (yet anyways) "spoil".

Little surprised they went with a prequel series though.

Especially considering how season one played out at the CDC, thus far, never touched upon again.
Thought TWD: UK or something would've been more likely.

If "Fear the Walking Dead" is a hit, I'm sure it's inevitable though.

Aw. Still miss Dale and Hershel. Dale should have lasted longer imo... I mean, I know the show isn't dictated by the comic all the time... but in this case they could have made an exception for a little while longer.

Hersel died where and as he should have though. Hate to say it.

He wasn't really made for TWD world especially with things that, at the time, were yet to come. Almost certainly wouldn't have made it through Terminus imo.

 

But that is pretty cool. Thanks for sharing it, Rocket.

Going to have to take some time and refresh my memory on a few of those names.

Maybe just rewatch from season one again.

 

Speaking of, showed my... showed Sabhira the last three and a half minutes of TWD finale.

Up to this point she's had ZERO desire to watch the show but even she was like "damn" at how it all went down.

Think we may have another "Dead Head" (is there a Whovian/Trekkie equivalent for TWD?) among us soon.

Over the last month or so I watched the whole show. Season 2 was the worst thing to ever happen to this planet, but seasons 4/5 were pretty good.

If Hershel wasn't made for TWD, then Dale certainly wasn't. I liked him in S1, but then his preachy grandstanding and weekly "WHAT HAVE WE BECOME? WHAT HAPPENED TO CIVILIZATION?" got old real fast. Post-farm Hershel was one of the most interesting characters the show has had, imo.

Anything with fear in front of it is usually dumb.

And it shouldn't have "the walking dead" in the title at all.

There is only ONE Walking Dead show. 

 

"Fear the Dead" would have even been better.

"You won't watch this because Rick isn't in it."

 

...because I don't think anyone could survive a zombie apocalypse without rick grimes

I can't wait for the new season of Walking Dead. Thank goodness I got GoT and iZombie to keep me busy for now. The new show... I'm going to give it a try because it looks like it takes place more in the city. More Zombies!?  Hopefully it'll be just as good and have better actors than those webisodes they had going.

I don't know about the spin-off (I'll probably check it out. I've heard Kirkman saying "we'll never know how the plague started" so many times that I'm a bit afraid it will take my interest away from the show, though ) but damn I miss TWD sooo much.

I'm glad I started to finally read the comics a few days ago, and it's as addicting as the show (or even more considering the gruesome level is way higher). I'm expecting to keep me entertained until the next season starts.
