Finished the comics a while ago and already started re-reading it.
I'm going to re-watch all seasons because I don't remember the last season that well, and I can't (re)watch any episode from any series without beginning from the start. Even if it's the 5th time I'm doing it.
Sometimes I just wish I could cut off the parts of my brain that make me such an obsessive... thing.
Eh, first season is always the slowest/hardest to get into.
I was hooked from the beginning, and episode two was even better for me.
Forgot it was a stupid holiday. Was really looking forward to tonight's episode.
Going to binge the last of TWD comics. Reading 127 now and

I really, really wish Andrea was still alive in the tv series.

@Athayde How'd you like issue #100?
Damn, I was wondering why there's no episode this week. You people have so many holidays. e.e
And I agree with you, I also like the second episode more than the first.
Spoiler
I'd agree with you if the Andrea from the show was nearly as interesting as the Andrea from the comics. I mean, she was cool at the beginning but that thing with the Gov (not killing him when she had the chance ) showed just how stupid she was and I don't think she would have a nice growth after that.
I stop commenting the issues here because as they started to get more gruesome I started to get more excited and everyone here already thinks I'm a psycho freak...
But what the hell. #100 was probably the best one so far.
Spoiler
I loved Glenn, but his death was hands down the most horrific and terrific thing I've ever read. Put my brain on fire. I love Lucille and I love Negan, I'll probably be pissed if/when Kirksexy kills him, which I never did with any other character.
Also, now that I'm already talking about it. *shrug* This turned me on.

Haha! You are one of the most interesting people I know. Love it, never change for no one. <3
And yeah, agree about the holidays. Nice for missing work/school but really... of all the holidays this seems like the one to just chill indoors and watch stuff. It's like "Air the show at midnight for all I care - no work tomorrow!" Yknow?
On issue #130 now and..
Spoiler
HOLY SHIT ARE THE ZOMBIES TALKING?!?
So good! Love the comics so much. I really hope Kirkman wasn't lying when he said he had enough ideas to fill at least 1000 issues. I will read each and every one multiple times by the time this series ends.
Spoiler
Yeah, comic Andrea is 1000x better. Shame they went the direction they did with her. Will probably try to merge her role in the comic with Michonne's character if I had to guess. I mean of course they will - it's the progressive thing to do.
It's interesting to see what gets cut and what gets kept.
Feel like the main (only?) reason Rick's daughter is still alive you know the oversensitive fans would cause an uproar and try to get the show cancelled.
I think Maggie's suicide attempt should have stayed in. Especially if she is/will be pregnant on the show.
Did like how they replaced the sociopathic twin with Carol's oldest adoptive daughter - probably the one episode that truly shocked me & blew me away.
Do you think they'll actually kill Glenn on the show? Feel like he's too much of a main character for that to actually happen... y'know, like they'll never kill Rick, Carl, Daryl, and possibly Michonne. Though if it does you know it's going to be the season or mid-season finale so we have to wait months to get part two. -_- Could see Maggie biting the bullet though. WHAT IF SHE DIED AFTER HE JUST FOUND OUT SHE WAS PREGNANT?!
Doubt they'll use Jesus either because everyone is so PC these days. Probably why Morgan is back and such a badass ninja... like Jesus was.

lol xD
Edit 2: #144... *speechless*
Oh, man this is going to be a looooong post. Buckle up.
If Kirkman's capable of keeping me interested for more 5000 issues the way he's been keeping me so far, I'm in. I can't wait to for next issue to be released and I believe I'm going crazy to think this is a monthly thing, how am I supposed to wait a WHOLE MONTH for the next piece of awesomness after binge read all 145 in less than a month? HM? *pulls hair*
Hey! I had conflicted feelings about the Whisperers.
Spoiler
My first reaction was: "Damn you, Kirkwhore you said your zombies would never ever develop intelligence and now you're making them talk?", but then... "Wait, Kirkgenious said his zombies would never ever be smarter, so this is gotta be something else *fangirling*". But yeah, my first reaction was a mix of surprise and disappointment. And the result, when I finally found what who the Whisperers were, damn... What a fucking smart move coming from those psychos ( ).
About Judith,
Spoiler
I understand why she was killed in the comics, baby's are kinda useless to the story. Thre's no room for crawling beings unless they're half eaten lol. I agree about the reason why she's still alive in the show, which I think it's a stupid decision for such an useless character and Kirkman probably was forced to accept it. And I feel that now they have to keep her because her death would create a wave of complains even bigger than if they just killed her in the prison. ._.
About Maggie,
Spoiler
I disagree with you. Her character is going strong in the comics and I'm eager to see what her next moves are going to be, especially after killing the pussy Gregory. After all, she was supposed to be answering Rick... I'm looking forward to see what his reaction is going to be about it.
Eh, psycho brothers. I love the idea. And they both worked very well in comics and in the show, although I think the show shocked me a bit more, maybe because it was unexpected, and in the comics there's nothing I don't expect anymore.
And I especially liked how, in the comics, it was Carl that resolved the moral issue adults were debating themselves with (kids have their own moral scale which can be both surprising and scaring at the same time), and I'm so damn curious to know if Andrea will ever know what really happened that nigth in the road and how will she react and what she will do after finding out the truth.
I hope they don't kill Glenn in the show. He's my second preferred character and he's the one who made me feel the hots about asian guys LOL. And I damn hope they never kill Daryl.
Speaking of Daryl, those episodes with him alone with Beth were the best ones with him. Eh, I MISS BETH. ;_;
I'm expecting (in the show) Maggie to get pregnant and be eaten alive from the inside by a baby zombie. We all need a baby zombie killing the mother from the womb!
If they're going to put Jesus in the show they better make him a fucking sexy ninja like in the comics. And they can still kill Morgan,
Spoiler
they did it in the comics after he came back... Oy, ZOMBIE DUANE! Man, I was not expecting to see that. Such a fucking twist. It kinda broke my metaphorical heart but, sadly, Morgan letting him go was very predictible.
I love Adlard's zombie. I love Adlard's work. Damn, I'm in love...
I started re-watching the series last night and in the first two episodes something really weird happens that I never noticed before (maybe it's the insight that comics gave me).
Spoiler
In the first episode, the first zombie we see it's a girl near a gas station where Rick tries to find some gas. When he hears her (her erratic steps on the ground) he lays down on the floor and looks under the car, then we see the girls' hand picking up a teddy bear. When I saw this I had to pause the whole thing and immediately disscussed it with the peeps that were with me: zombies don't pick up things unless it's food for munching. They're just meat bags controlled by one animal urge: eat. Why did this pre-teen zombie picked up a teddy bear? Whywhywhy?? D:
This made me think for a second that those first moments are not set in the beginning of the apocalypse but more towards the end, somehow my brain assumed zombies would get smarter. BUT this doesn't make any sense because:
zombies won't get smarter!
Rick's surprise when he realized it was a zombie and not a living girl. If this was a scene from a hypothetical future, Rick would be more that used to zombies, and
he would not be worried about getting gas...
Pppfff, why the hell did I think that was a scene from the future? What the fuck I was expecting to see? Marty driving a DeLorean? Get your shit together, Katya.
And then, later when Rick's inside the house with Morgan and Duane and Morgan's wife firstly appears, we see her going up the front's house stairs (I remember this because Kirkman mentioned this whole up/down stairs thing in several Letter Hacks) AND THEN messing with the door knob tying to open it...
But, behold!, this is not the first time, something like that happens. In issue #1, when Rick's escaping from the hospital:
Iknowiknow, these are just details and don't mess with the story itself, it's just something I find it to be very curious.
In the second episode we see a walker being all otter-like** using a big rock to try to break the glass door at the mall where Rick mets Gleen, Andrea, Morales, T-Dog, Jacqui and Merle (I'm just testing myself of how obsessed I am with this ).
What the fucking fuck dudes, zombies aren't supposed to be smart... D:
** I almost made an intelligent joke e.e
*whew*
If some of these sentences doesn't make sense, it's not my fault, I had to make dinner and other housewife-y stuff in the meantime.
I did not enter completely in Kirkman's world, besides TWD. I know he wrote/writes other comics, but it seems more like heroes stuff (judging by the titles I've googled), and it's not really my thing.
But, I'm trying to adventure myself in other things. This is what I proposed myself to read, at least the first couple of issues to see if I like it. I don't know what half of those are about but eh lol
Felt weird not being able to keep on binging after it though.
That fact actually made the issue feel shorter than normal to me.
Will probably hold off until this story arc wraps up before reading beyond #146.
Thankfully still have Fear The Walking Dead and TWD show to hold me over for awhile.
Loved it when...
Spoiler
"We don't kill!"
"He tried to kill me first!"
"We're better than that."
"Bitch please."
*fighting ensues*
"I'm sorry."
"No, I'm sorry."
"No, I'm most sorriest."
*best friends forever hugs*
I feel your pain. "Wait, that was it?" I actually had to count the pages to be sure it wasn't missing a few. And now we have to wait until October 14th for the next one -and LOOK AT THE DAMN COVER FOR THE #149!! <3. Bah. Fortunately I'm re-reading the whole thing (currently reading the volumes, but I'm pretty sure I'll read the issues too ) AND I still have the novels AND the specials to engage on...
Now, about issue #146:
Spoiler
I liked it, but after a major shocking dead (and this time we had several!), I always feel a bit sad for the lack of adrenaline. I know it can't always be rolling high up there or the effect would be lost, but I'm a rush whore.
You know, I don't trust if a friend of mine that never punched me or at least tried to once during our friendship. What comes after it's what shows how strong a friendship is, or if the other person is worth it. So I was most pleased to see Rick ready to kill the Whisperers after being punched and kicked by Maggie.
Issue #146
Spoiler
Seeing Maggie throw punches was the best thing ever.
It was so nice, but
Spoiler
DAMN GIRL, YOU PUNCH A CRIPPLED MAN?? A CRIPPLED ONE-HANDED MAN AND THEN KICK HIM WHILE HE'S ALREADY ON THE GROUND? You're sick, Maggie, I love you.
Edit 1
Junkie "Trans have a gun. A shotgun. Tried to steal it once."
Mum and little sister don't even blink. I guess having a drug addicted in the family is a good thing during a zombie outbreak
Edit 2
I like how in the end they think everything will be fine because army's there now.
I didn't get what Salazar said "it's too late now". Did he mean is too late to ever be safe again or something else? Because, for some old barber shop owner he seems to be very comfortable around zombies, and even knew it would take a bullet in the brain to kill them... again. O__O

IKR! Because the army hearded everyone into the big cities the outbreak spread a lot faster. Am soooo looking forward to seeing how that part plays out.
I think what he meant was the military are getting involved so they'll have less options available to them - not able to leave the city, hide, etc.
Y'know, like real life: terrorism (zombies) = give up our freedoms (for "our safety")
I like seeing the power struggle that's starting to form between Salazar & Travis.
I mean, you know Travis is going to win out in the end... but at what cost?
And that conversation between Madison & Liza?
If that's not foreshadowing.... I mean, I was a little surprised Madison hadn't broken out in a fever yet so... yeah.
Oh man, I am LOVING this series. Quite possibly as much if not a smidge more than the main series.
Even if the characters hadn't grown on me I'd still be loving it just bc seeing a SHTF scenario play out all around them.
The only character I don't like so far is Travis's biological son. But who knows what the future holds. *shrug*
Wonder how long it'll take everyone to figure out they're already infected seeing how Kirkman really regretted that season one CDC episode I doubt he'd allow them to find out too soon this time around.

Lol I like how you express better what I want to say but because of my lack of expressiveness (and poor English) I can.
I don't know, Salazar seems to have lots of secrets. And how he handled that zombie so coldly... It might be nothing, just a hardened man that lived too many shitty days in his life, but I like to theorize and see conspiracies everywhere.
Travis on the other hand, looks like the opposite and people that struggle with morality and see zombies as "sick people" don't last long in such world, but he's a main character (not that means anything) and if he wants to survive he will have to get those hands dirty.
I don't remember Maddy being injured by Nick's-dealer-zombified enough to make her feverish. Wasn't she wearing a coat? I'd have to re-watch the episode again. Heck, I'll probably will just to be sure
I like to see their innocence "let's take her to the hospital" and when they get there is chaos everywhere and police shooting a zombified doctor out in the street
We didn't see that before. TWD is way beyond that point. I love chaos.
I always wondered why they discovered the "we're all infected" so soon in the TWD (they could've wait for Shane death or at least for the death of the kid Shane kills in the wood!), and I had no idea Kirkbeard regretted it.
Chris is a prick and needs to die. By the hands of Alicia I hope *fingers crossed*
Just finished s03e03. I'll have this re-watched waaaay before season premiere. Damn, so many conflicting feelings
Maybe, but the one on the show is so much hotter. It's no wonder he got Andrea killed.
Though yeah, it was pretty weird AF when he frenched his own zombified daughter in the comics (iirc).
Oh yeah, David Morrissey tingles my insides. And unsurprisingly, he's British
Now I'm imagining the sick bastard comic-gov's personality merged with Morrissey's hotness. Damn, it's too much, I'm glad they decided to make show-gov more softcore
s03e12
Morgan to Rick: "People wearing dead people's faces."
Oh, boy.
Wait, he said that?! That shit just happened in the comics iirc... oh I so need to marathon the older episodes again... and might as well reread all 146 issues while I'm at it.
Wait, he said that?! That shit just happened in the comics iirc... oh I so need to marathon the older episodes again... and might as well reread all 146 issues while I'm at it.
Oh yeah, he did. Twice.
It might not have the meaning I gave to it. It might be just his poetic and crazed way of saying "hey, buddy, we're already dead", due to his PTSD after seeing his zombified wife eating their son. OR it might be a reference to the Whisperers. I mean, it's been a year since Morgan and Rick pulled away from each other, who knows the things Morgan saw during that time (WHISPERERS!). BUT, we already know Morgan finds Rick and after seeing that trailer a couple of posts ago, their reencounter will be intense to say the least, and I'm confident that that sprinkled with a couple of zombies must be enough for an entire season, which leads me to believe we are not going to see the Whisperers any time soon (I'm assuming they'll appear, eventually. I mean, they HAVE to. It's too amazing to not be included on the show).
Eh, I'm doing it again. Thinking this way too much. BUT THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING and I can't stop making conjectures about it.
Either way, having a background knowledge after reading the comics I find myself much more enthusiastic watching the show and noticing little things I didn't notice before, like what Morgan said. It's cool.
Anywaaaaay. HEY, did you notice that the TPB covers have a continuous line of zombies? How cool is that?? I just noticed this last night. I was looking at all 24 covers separately and thinking to myself "I'm onto something!! I just don't know what it is... Yet." and then it hit me like a fucking tennis ball in the nuts (if I had them) and I finally saw the light! I put the covers side by side, one after another and just watched the zombie parade in front of my eyes. So beautiful, man. So damn beautiful. ;_;
Ok. I'll stop now.
