My apologies if this is dumb. 

 

I have used this program before, on a different computer, but I know how it works, therefore I'm not sure why I'm having this issue.

 

I start the program, log in, then I go to click on the program itself, clicking out of the log in window, and it just makes that noise the computer makes when you do something it doesn't like. Then it only does that. If I close it, or minimize the program it only restores the log in window.

I'm taking a guess here but close the login window after successfully logging in. If you have the login window out, you can't press anything on the actual program.
