You don't have to, I assume they will have something in place for the lower levelled dragons that people may have as well. There's usually a chance to win chests and the holiday currency in the Training Grounds as well. It depends on the frequency of encountering Water type enemies. You CAN also save up some treasure and buy some of the skins from the Marketplace as well if you want to try for those. You don't HAVE to battle in the Coli to obtain them. Same goes for the holiday currency, you can also get it by gathering in the water areas.

Yeah, the Festivals last for a week and they usually change up the elements of enemies just for the Festivals. So if you never really encountered Water-type enemies in the Training Grounds prior to it, then you may well do over the course of the week. Keep an eye on the forums on FR and people usually post where the best places to grind are.

What do the chests do? So I read that news post and what we're supposed to do is gather/dig in Water area and battle in the Coliseum to get sand dollars? Those water skins are really pretty c:

The chests give out Skins, some treasure AND a gem or two I think? But they sell for more unopened because they're quite rare to get in the Coli.
