What's the difference between normal and alternate sockets?

They are different servers to connect to the games. I don't know if they're virtual servers, though I assume they are.

Either way, the idea is to alleviate load on the main server by getting people to use the alternate one when it is busy. So more people can use the games without issues

Question: My lair just reached Mighty status recently (50 dragons...I have not grown it further yet), and I have three nests. What would the next recommended step be: to expand my lair, or add a fourth nest?

i just hit the same point, I think it really depends on what you're working towards. If you're looking for drags to sell perhaps adding a nest might be a better option. Personally I'm mainly using dragons for bonding familiars so I'll probably be expanding my lair.

Thanks so much for your perspective...I think I need to think a bit more critically on what my goal in either direction would be then.

 

UPDATE: After consideration, I think I'm going to go with another nest once I have the resources to buy it.

Soo, this may have been answered, but how much does your flight matter?

 

I took the little quiz thing, and it said I should be plague, but I don't like the plagues eye color. D:

The only thing that REALLY matters with flight choice is the eye colours, apart from that, they're pretty much all the same. (some have nicer communities on their respective 'private' flight boards on the forum though).

Ice and Wind tend to have the best communities from my own experiences, but Lightning has the largest I think?

From my own experience with Lightning, they are nice in terms of giving stuff away and the boards are more active than most neopets forums, but I can't really call it a community since people hardly talk to each other outside of self-gain and dominance pushes.

How much do adults normally cost to buy?  Or am I missing the easy way to find adults in the auction?  I want to start in the Coliseum but I only have the 2 adults I got from signing up today.

You can usually find a few basic ones for around 10K in the AH but there is no easy way to find them

You can find ready to breed adults for about 15ish k each. you can go to the auction house and put in your species/gene preferences and price range. I usually just sort by price and then go through the pages until I find a dragon I like.

I have a question about the vilgilance of FR's mod team During this recent registration window I made a second account pretty much just for username squatting (because I am a terrible person lol). But I kind of want to play on it. In general, how likely is it to get banned for having multiple accounts? I've read of people getting banned just for having their brother/sister/kid playing on the same IP. I didn't use a proxy when I signed up for the second one so its already associated with my IP, would it be too risky to play on another? Mainly I just want to buy and sell dragons on it but I don't want to risk my main.

 

Also, if people DO use more than one account, are there specific known things that would draw the attention of the mods and make it more likely for me to get banned?

I do multiple accounts (rarely) and the one thing that would absolutely tip off the FR mod team is if you transfer all your precious cargo to one account. It's probably not like neopets where they half ass their moderation priorities since the game is still in development and the FR team is still full of motivation.

Thank you! I think I will just wait then, I don't want to risk my babies on my main. Mostly what I wanted to do was sell off my two first gen dragons since they aren't completely hideous and it seems there's a tiny demand for them... but maybe i'll just wait, sell them low key later, and just let the treasure sit or something.

Is it alright to sell or trade accounts here on neocodex? I have two and I kind of don't wanna play anymore, but I don't wish for my dragons and stuff to gather dust.

As far as I know you can't sell your first pair, you can only exalt them.

Any other way of finding out how much i should sell an item for other than searching for other people selling it in the AH. I've searched the AH everyday since getting this item and nobody is ever selling!
