Well if I were to think about it, middle ear infections can be...agonizing to say the least, especially when you leave them for awhile before seeking treatment. I did that once, never ever doing that again, now when I suspect one, I deal with it right away! I was popping at least 12 Tylenol extra strength a day which is very bad.
Then there is when your leg just...cramps right under the knee, moving it hurts so much, I don't even like thinking about any of this. ![]()

Although I am jealous of anyone who's worst pain they've ever felt is stepping on a piece of plastic.
Hey now, we can't all have kids. ![]()

- When I was ~6 and my parents were building our vacations house, a cement brick fall from the roof on my right thumb. Didn't broke the finger but the nail got infected, fell and till today it has a
weirdsexy shape. - Few years later I had that same thumb broken by an automated door of a train.
- When I was ~13, I smashed my head on a soccer goal structure, broke the frontal bone and had one of those curved nails, sometimes used to hold the net, happily entering on my brain. Had to take I-don't-even-remember-how-many stitches and the damn anesthesia didn't work. After three shots both doctor and my mum decided to not take the risk of giving me another one and I decided to be sewed up just like that and it was fine, fine.
- About 10 years ago, I got very close to die by drowning. I went to the beach and was caught up on a current. After trying to get to the shore for about an hour, I had severe cramps on both legs and couldn't swim more. I never had such cramps before and after. Too painful. - I was found by someone practicing scuba diving (?). I was dehydrated, exhausted and whatever, but those cramp pains haunted me for weeks.
- I gave birth to 3 large baby humans.
But NONE of the above can be compared to otitis. Ear infections are the worst pain I ever felt in my entire life. Last one it was 2 years ago and, even though I'm not a religious person, I prayed to any God to take me. I couldn't eat, I couldn't be up, I couldn't be laid down. I hope to never feel that again, but I would happily trade places every time my girls have them (just like their mother in the worst things...) because I know what they're feeling.

That would be absolutely terrifying even if you know how to get out of one ![]()

Viral infection like a cold or cough - sometimes allergies causing an inflammation of the ear canal which leads to pneumonia-causing bacteria (others, too, I'm sure) which normally live in your system to reproduce in the fluid. It's an opportunistic infection. We have natural flora in our bodies all the time just waiting to get the jump on us.

You can't spoon feed them, they'll never learn.

I can't get up or eat or do anything and sometimes I get nauseous/throw up too. Pretty sure they're as painful as actually being pregnant and giving birth to a baby ok (not really).

I actually just got over an ear infection that required multiple rounds of antibiotics, swollen down into my neck. I have to agree it was a horrible HORRIBLE feeling.
Back labor when my munchkin decided to pop out was pretty damn bad too.
But the worst I can actually remember is when I got fresh jalapeno in my eye. That shit is no joke.
That is the coolest thing I have ever seen. Must use to be a jerk in the future

Worst for an ear infection for me was when I'd get the stabbing pain of a knife or needle in my ear canal. The ache I could handle.
OUCH...jalapenos are evil.

I guess I have two? I can't really decide.
When I was younger (about 12) my little brother sat on my thumb and broke it. But what was worse was that my father didn't believe me that it was broken and thought I was making it up. I made myself a splint but it was super painful for a long time.
Also I ran the NYC marathon in 2010 and I thought my heart rate monitor was too tonight or something, but I ended up having the beginning stages of a heart attack and I basically thought I was going to die for a good day until things improved and I was released from the hospital LOL It wasn't exactly a single incident of physical pain, but it was pretty painful to experience senses going in and out of working. What was even scarier was that I went to multiple different highly ranked hospitals in new york, and nobody could explain why it was occurring.
