When was the clown ever not scary?
Does your local McDonald's have one of those benches with the clown on one side, with his arm round you?
I always hoped one day, they'd swap it for a regular bench, and a guy in a costume.

DUDE! When I was like 12 I flipped out because my mom tried to make me take a picture with the nesquick bunny. I was like hell no! I still don't even go up to Santa in the mall. I have hubs bring the munchkin up.
