The Strange Familiar: made it to the top 48 on America's Got Talent a few years ago. They've gotten some of their songs on CW and ABC Family shows (and were even in the rotation on the sound system at Kohl's when I left four years ago), but haven't really reached any notoriety here.
I Just Want to Love You (acoustic)
Being Me
(And, okay...I adore them so much that I dedicated my poetry anthology to their lead singer Kira and got a shoutout on their weekly webshow. *giggle*)
Tartanic: does the rounds at Renaissance festivals here in America. If there's a such thing as "Scottish rock" (with only giant bass drums and bagpipes), Tartanic is it. They get going and you can hear the drums all the way across the festival. They're fantastic!
Briefcase No. 1 is my absolute favorite and makes me want to dance.
Oh and they're not really "lesser known", but I do love Foster the People.
And Christian Kane...though he's more known for his acting and I don't really like Country. Freakin hottie, though.
