I'm majoring in it It's fun and easy, you should learn it for fun if you enjoy anime. :3

I pick up a word here or there watching anime, but I don't think I could ever learn kanji.

Oh shinigami! Death Note was so good!

[Futurama]

Yeah, I know some random words like bakemono or shinigami or inu, but they are not very usefull in a civil conversation. Unless you want to offend someone, that is.

Bukkake?

To keep with the Japanese theme.

Bukkake?

I know that too, along with oppai, and other explicit words which is better not to mention. But bakemono means monster or demon (kind of).

Post that kuso yo

[Elindoril]

bakemono

Ah yes Bakemono. It reminds me of Bakemonogatari.

"Bake" is a loan word for bake (to cook bread and stuff) and "mono" means thing in Japan.

Thus Bakemono means baked thing like a loaf of bread.

In Monogatari "mono" again means thing and "gatari" is Japanese for guitar.

Thus it means pastry guitar.

2 years of extensive Japanese training, everyone.

There are some, ahem, websites. With mangas, ya know, adult mangas. The tags there are quite educative, but the rules do not allow me to post explicit adult material, and since we don't have an adult section...

Yeah, Japanese is weird. I tried to learn it seriously, once; I remember a few hiragana and could write my name in katakna, but that's it. And I know the Kanji for tree and forest.

Sometimes, I like to surprise my friends with random sentences like "watashi wa kuronegai atari seppu go roku ni shiji wa desu".

Heh, I just can't join Fairyvil.  It's not in me!  I will either join Krawk Island or Moltara.  Last year, KI came pretty close and I felt like I contributed quite a bit.  (That's before I knew of NeoCodex!)
