What about our usernames, as is being harvested by the application process? Who will have access to those?

Only the staff members (current ones) will have access to those, it's all private info so no one else can access it. If you wish to withhold your username, that's fine, but we need a good application as to why people want access, otherwise what's the point if you don't play?

Regardless, storing a list of people's in-game usernames is asking for trouble.

 

We have never, ever stored member's in-game details like this in our last 10 years operating (and over multiple supported games) and I still have yet to see a valid reason as to why you'd require it now.

I do agree that the rest of the application and some justification is definitely required, but I just disagree with requiring usernames. /shrug

It's optional like I said, but the rest of the application NEEDS to be well thought out to justify applying.

 The last question also had an "(optional)" after it, so I thought you should be consistent. 

 

I'm not interested in a childish argument with you, I'm just trying to make sure that the members here are as secure as they can be, and that involves not divulging any personal information to anyone. I'm sorry that you are mistaking that for pedantry and reacting by changing the application to obnoxiously bold red text.
