My given name is Hannah, but since i'm trans my friends call me Andrew, upon my request. people who refuse to call me Andrew do not get the privilege of being my friend. My parents are not my friends (lmao). I'm going to get my name legally changed whenever possible.

This is the perfect thread for me.
I have been called Boogie for many years now. It all started when I was in highschool, me and my friends were fond of pranking one another and one day I thought it would be an awesome prank to hide under my friends bed and grab his ankles when he woke up. (He had a fear of things grabbing him while he slept)
So I slipped under his bed one night while we were all over at his place hanging out (having a sleepover, something men hate to say) Everyone told him I had left and all was going well, only thing was, I had stayed up late the previous night and was completely whipped and fell asleep under there.
They found me the next morning and everyone had a good laugh about it and I have been called the Boogieman, or Boogie for short, ever since.

My name is pretty hard to make a nickname out of, but that hasn't stopped people from trying.
When Twilight first came out, my friend decided to annoy me by changing my name to Carlisle. The name itself isn't bad but back when there were twitards everywhere it was a nightmare.
My other common nickname is Carls, which seems like the only acceptable way to shorten my name without turning it into a boy's name or an automobile.

My friend and I came up with ghetto names to call each other. He gave me Dalinqua and I gave him Diarrhea ( Dee - Ar - Ria ) I feel like that's a pretty name, haha.
Hispanics called me China or Chinita because I was asian. x)
Then back in 4th grade, my teacher would always pronounce my last name as "Dewy." Then everyone started calling me that. It stuck with me until now, but rarely anyone calls me that now.

Naah I don't have any. Although I do get called "idiot", "jerk" and "learn-how-to-drive" in the morning traffic from time to time so I guess those could count? ![]()
How I got them? Hmm, hmm... I have a phobia for speed limit signs which tends to make me drive faster than I should.

My username is my nickname - because of an episode of HIMYM where Barney is called Swarley. Since I love HIMYM, I have a lot of nicknames from there, but this one is the most used.
Another I had was Bob. No reason at all.

At some point in junior high, someone in my circle of friends was giving everyone nicknames and I never really paid any attention to it..I earned "Mickey" (as in Mickey Mouse) as a nick name then. As the years passed, it evolved to Mikey or Mike.
Apparently, the reason how I got my nickname was because I reminded everyone of Mickey Mouse, how? I haven't a clue to this day.

My partner affectionately nicknames me "fuckwit" or "dickhead" when Im drunk and trying to have a good time.
We nicknamed our son egg ever since he was conceived (I once dressed up in a dinosaur onesie and it suited me, not long after we found out she was pregnant so he was always called a little egg). Even now he's 12 weeks old, we still call him egg. The poor kid is not going to know his real name cos he's never called it even when he's in trouble.

When I was younger, friends would call me Sasha Snowcone Salami Sandwich. I still get called that by people 10+ years later. I don't really know how she/they came up with it. My friends usually call me derogatory pet names now.
My name is short as it is, so any nicknames make it 10x longer.

People have called me by my last name for basically my whole life. So therefore one of my many nicknames, as well as my forum username, is based off my last name. It's the first four letters TALB plus an S.

Most people just call me Emily or Em. My father's side of the family and my downstairs neighbor calls me Emmy which I really hate.
I like Ems too.
@ManBear don't call me Emi.

Almost everyone calls me Kathi, back in school the guys called me Käthe (i hate that name), and my Bf calls me "Bunny". Its a German Petname like "Sweetheart or Darling", but it sounds shitty in German (Häschen) so Bunny it is ![]()
