I'm still in the quest for the original drawings. She keeps them hidden.
This girl has issues.

I would so buy something like that...
At school we used to put our Full Art Sketch books up for auction to raise money for the local types of stuff. Grade 12 we auctioned off nearly 40 full sketchbooks and raised close to 6 grand for our local waminda group which help to look after older people who need the help and supervision. The funds bought a few wheelchairs for a couple and a new retired man and went to throwing a party that the happy hour group at the waminda place organized. The rest was put into the kitty and was used for future events.
If I got a hold of 1 of athaydes sketchbooks and it was full off things like that! OMG o.o
lol
Not that all of our sketchbooks were that good but many were creative, mine had a bunch of conversations with myself and others written in it in an iphone style xD Any other class was just normal notes, but art was like artsy notes xD

Her sketchbooks are exactly like her. Psychotic. Fluffy dogs on one page, blood and gore the next.
It's not pretty, and that's the main reason she keeps them away because of our kids and I don't think most of the drawings she made bring her found memories, but most of the things she shows around, like this one, are pretty awesome. And safe for kids.

Very nice, just don't show that one upside down...

I don't think she ever showed her drawings outside the friend circle. I know she made a photographic gallery a few years before we met but I honestly believe she was unable to manage the compliments and the fact that people actually like what she makes.

It still something nice to see, tho.

True. Upside down it's a bit Monty Python-esque.

This is really beautiful artwork! We'll have to pester her for some more art when she gets back.

An artist should never be ashamed of their work, even if they don't like it.
