I've only tried it on a few dragons, but I really like it so far. It seems much less overpowering than the other tert genes

I'm really liking the way it looks though (especially when paired with the more subtle primary/secondary gene combos)

It's not in the gem side of the marketplace so I'm gonna guess that Circuit will still come out as the rarer option if you were breeding dragons. It's totally new so it's just got hype on it's side as far as popularity goes, if that's what you meant. XD

 

Is this tert supposed to go with Ripple and Current?

 

Triple coloured (all same color) will definitely lose out and may as well have Basic since it's going to be barely noticeable.

I doubt it, but Ripple and Smoke go together fairly well. I really don't like the Current and Smoke combo

I've only played around with a few combo's but so far I'm liking it. I'm curious to see what it looks like with different color combinations.

This is very true, I don't really like many triple colors though haha

 

I've been playing around with it a good bit, and I think I like it. I did an iri/shim/smoke male coatl with azure/blood/banana (very pretty IMO) and then a male imp iri/shim/smoke crimson/tangerine/lemon. ^.^ It's a fun tert, I think.

 

Edit: my only issue is that I don't feel like it flows that well from wings to body, with some color combos, it lacks dimension in that aspect and almost looks a little flat. (I hope that makes sense)

makes total sense. 

 

I played with a few combos (really just picking random colors) and it can look pretty cool but sometimes almost cartoonish. I can definitely see how its more of a flat gene vs some of the ones that really add a 3-d appeal.

I'm not  fan Tertiary genes much, but smoke is really the only one I like so far.

I've fallen completely in love with this gene. Even moreso knowing that it goes absolutely perfect with my main breeding pair.

 

Little protip: It works best as a darker color on a lighter color.

The swirls are somewhat random but it looks okay for the most part. I'm glad it's a tertiary gene ^^

I really love light-colored smoke on darker colors. Need to amass more when I can make a new account.
