I used to be deathly afraid of the dark, and would refuse to go anywhere dark unless either of my brothers followed me. I grew out of that when I realised people are way more scary that whatever might dwell in the dark.

Now, I'm becoming more and more claustrophobic. The Tube is almost my worst nightmare.

I fucking hate spiders, i can deal with small-medium ones now but the big ones i freeze up at. It doesn't help that i've been getting 2-3 spiders in my room every night for the past week. I've found the best way to deal with them is to use hairspray to stick 'em then use a boxing glove and punch the shit out of them.

I used to be scared of heights until i started going on roller-coasters, in fact a couple weeks back i did a parachute jump so it really doesn't bother me anymore :p. That was my first time in a plane too, and my first time jumping out one.

Apart from spiders the only other fear i have is the sea, but that's partially because i don't know how to swim. I've had plenty of nightmares of me as a little kid walking along a harbor then tripping into the sea and stuff like that, or something pulling me under. I've heard that 95% of the sea is unexplored and that also scares me, you don't know what might be lurking under there :/

I'm pretty claustrophobic but that's more just uncomfortableness, not an actual fear. I got trapped in a deflating bouncy castle as a little kid, and i've been traumatized from it ever since.

Those bouncy castles are dangerous. My mom broke her nose in one a few years ago.

Just get a glass and a bit of card and let them go outside. :p Maybe if you started doing that you'll get over your fear of them. ;)

I'm also somewhat afraid of heights. Depends on where I am. I climbed a lighthouse once and clung to the sides the entire time.

Nah the fuckers end up back in my room over the next couple days, they can't come back if they're dead :p. I'm sure if i believed in ghosts there'd be hundreds of them running around my floor, but i don't, therefor there's not.

I'd rather let them go outside intact than have to clean up their crushed corpses... :p

I saw a huge spider on my kitchen floor back home once. I was about to use my step dad's boot to stomp it, but I decided that I didn't want to sacrifice the boot so I just sprayed it with one of those huge bug spray things with the wand until it died. It stood up on the ends of its legs like it was going to jump at me too. :(

One of my friends once phrased the fear of heights really well. She said shes not afraid of heights... shes afraid of jumping. Like she knows she wont just randomly fall but said its that freakish thought that she might jump off the edge.

I realized I have that too. I hold myself to the side because deep deep down, you think you could jump. Im not suicidal or depressed or anything. Its just a weird fear? Idk.

Anyway my actual fears are spider webs and failure. I scream like a madwoman everytime I walk into a spider web not because Im particularly afraid of spiders. Its just that I cant SEE where the spider might be. It could be on my face, could be in my shirt, who knows. If I walked into the web its bcus I didnt see it.

and I fear failure a hell of a lot.

I'm really afraid of ticks. Whenever I go hiking I constantly have this nagging feeling that there are ticks attaching themselves to me...It's horrifying.

Apart from that I cannot think of any other fear besides fear of rejection. But I feel as if that is pretty common

I am extremely paranoid with lightning, I start to panic when I hear some thunder far away from me. I even use maths to know how far lightnings are (You just have to count the second since you saw the lightning until you hear the thunder, then X seconds x speedofsound)
I mean, I live in the city but you can actually get struck struck by lightning.

I have very deep-seated fears of being rejected, abandoned, and betrayed. Especially when doing something outside of my comfort zone, I often find myself dealing with irrational thoughts that someone is going to leave me behind or screw with me, or something.

    It's like my worst nightmare.

Besides falling/heights. Or my plane crashing.

Worms - you know after a good rain when the roads are covered with millions of worms? I completely disintegrate. This fear doest apply when fishing though. I'm a fisherman's daughter and under the right conditions can pump myself up to put a worm on my fishhook. Nobody knows this one btw.  Secretly this is why I prefer Ocean>River>Lake fishing. You don't need worms on hooks for the first two.

    maggots - I can't even

Spiders .  I don't know what happened here. I spent most of my life terrified of spiders. Then I had a baby, discovered a spider in the same room as said baby and just snatched it up and crunched it my fist without a second thought. Asdfghwtf. I've chilled out since then. Now, if I see one in the house I take her outside, name her, pretend we have a special bond.

My toddler is fearless. She will go down to the basement and run through complete darkness because "Ooooh spooky!" :/ When I do laundry down there alone as soon as I switch the lights off I have to run up the stairs as fast as I can and my heart skips a beat.
