I don't get it? Is this serious or humour?

Malaria has killed 600,000 people last year.

2.200 children under the age of five die every DAY from preventable diarrheal diseases.

3.5 million people die every year from lack of clean water.

Hepatitis B kills an average of 1.2 million people a year.

What is so scary about Ebola? The fact that it's coming into our first world countries. Because we can ignore all the other scary things that can kill you as long as they stay in the developing world, right?

And let me tell you, those are only the ones that I heard about. And I'm a very uninformed person. I can only imagine all the other diseases out there that I don't know about but are, for some reason, less important than Ebola.

I would think that it's scary because the treatment isn't established. Other diseases that you mentioned have vacinnes and treatment drugs. What makes ME wonder though, is why it's killing people off faster than before. It begs the question, has the virus mutated?

~30% death rate in nigeria I believe. If an outbreak were to occur in a developed country, I'm gonna guess 10-20% death rate or even less.

Hahaha I find this funny because that mask wouldn't do much against Ebola considering it isn't an airborne disease

Woah hold on Kat, can't be using common sense around Ebola. You must be paranoid and fear it like it will end mankind.

Anyone else becoming increasingly annoyed by all of the fake Ebola news stories that people keep posting on Facebook?

People keep posting about how Ebola is in Florida (where I am from). DO PEOPLE NOT FACT CHECK?  Come on, stop spreading fear. The 17 kindergartners story I could understand because the source seemed like it could have been a real news site, but FeedNewz.com? Really?  Shut up.

I haven't really seen they here. I've mostly just seen people faking having Ebola for attention which is equally annoying.

    I see those too -_-

I just want to save the world from idiots who try to use fake new stories as a point in an argument.  You can hardly believe anything you read anymore and there are too many people who believe everything they read.

Outbreak in New York lol anybody think he couldve infected anybody else? Personally I don't think so he was a doctor and was monitoring his temperature and vitals and once he got symptoms he went to the hospital.

I agree with this an outbreak is very unlikely, but the panic that just the news is causing is off the scales and the doctor according to reports is still in the incubation period and isn't yet contagious.
