After a year, I'm finally coming to terms with the fact that my cousin is dead, he's never coming back. At 18 he had his life taken from him. All I can see in my head tonight is the image of his neck being snapped as the vehicle was crushed. The last 12 months I've supported my family through his death and while I sat in his parents house and mourned, while I sat front row at his funeral and helped with the preparations this is the first time I've felt it sink in that this isn't just a terrible nightmare.

 

 I fucking hate people who think it's okay to drink & drive.

I will literally think less of you than almost any other type of person.

I understand people 'make mistakes'

Unfortunately drinking & driving has killed 2 of my cousins and 3 friends.

It will never be okay with me.

I hear people justify it ALL THE TIME and I seethe more every time I hear about it.

I've heard people tell me they 'drive better drunk' and it chaps my fucking ass.

 

 if you drink & drive or you think it's okay, get the fuck out of my face.

(I realize this is probably the angriest post I've ever written in my life but I am just really emotional and hearing people justify theirs or others actions and I definitely needed to confess that I am not okay with recklessly endangering other peoples lives.)

I've just been peeking at new jobs, not really sure I want to go somewhere else, but from what I've seen, doing exactly what I do now, I could be paid a lot more. The only problem is I would need to move to a bigger city. I'm scared to even apply and take a chance that I might actually get something better. Change is scary, especially if I were to move to a city I'm not all that familiar with.
