I forgot that the time entered is supposed to be in seconds not minutes (I hadn't touched the score sender in a while), so I sent a score of 600+ in 10 seconds on a game... UGH I'M AN IDIOT. What should I do? I sent in a ticket with a lame excuse, so I don't know if that'll fly... should I transfer my pets and self freeze? It's on my main (stupid I know) so I'm really attached to this account.

(Also, hope it's in the right forum)

I wouldn't bother sending in a ticket, since sending a high score in a low time is humanly impossible.  And transferring your pets after such an incident is sure to raise red flags.  Basically, you're SOL.

So there is nothing at all I can do? :( I bought NC and everything... should I just self ice or give up? I'm really upset, these pets are my childhood...

I don't think there's much you can do other than self-icing :( Sending anything out may get you chain frozen. :c

Don't no anything and hope for the best. If the score of +600 was on bumble beams for today's GMC, maybe it will go unnoticed in the myriad of scores being sent today.

I already self-iced... I freaked out because I really didn't want to risk losing my pets. I don't care about my items or even the account, it's my pets that mean a lot to me. Maybe I acted too rashly, I don't know. And yeah, it was for Bumble Beams, and the score went through because I got the prize.

I'm sorry guys, I'm really stupid and it means a lot to me that you actually responded. I thought I'd be mostly ignored because of the noobish mistake I made. >_< Thanks for being so kind in your responses!

Self-icing would be the best idea for you. They aren't going to check up on those things if you're iced already. I would wait a bit, like maybe a month or so before trying to get your account back. Sending a ticket to get it back after a self-ice is definitely less red-flaggish than sending a ticket after a frozen account. Best of luck! I accidentally posted something on the boards that may have made it really obvious that I was AB'ing that went ignored (thank god) and I was in a panic for like, the entire day.

Thank you so much. You won't believe how stressed I was when I realised my mistake! I've never had my heart beat that fast before over something as silly as Neopets...

I think I'm going to give cheating a rest (but I'll stick around here cos you guys are awesome), I'm obviously not very good at it haha. I'm going to play legit on another account for now, can't possibly mess up that way. XD

why would you send in a ticket? what could you possibly explain, your best bet would have just been leaving it and taking the risk...but sending in the ticket and drawing attention to it would essentially guarantee you get caught

@Nothingtown I'm pretty sure what we mean by sending in a ticket is sending in one to get the account back from either being frozen or self-iced. I don't think they meant sending in a ticket to discuss the fact that you obvious cheated.

They won't bother reading my ticket now that I self-iced, right? I wrote it in a panic... :(

@T2dR They'll probably read it, but because you're iced they won't acknowledge it. I'd give it a while so they CAN read it, and after a while you should be able to safely send a ticket to be un-iced. I would assume they'd pitch in a little brownie points because you bought NC, but I wouldn't guarantee it.

What could you have possibly said in the ticket?

'Hey I used a SS by accident, don't mind that, sorry?!'

I'm just trying to figure out what the ticket could have said at all.

I don't want them to read it! It was incredibly stupid and so embarrassing I don't want repeat it here... I used a textbook excuse, that's all I'll say. I wish I had come here before submitting that dumbass ticket... I have a feeling I might not get my account back now. :(

When I do try and retrieve it, should I say I was compromised? I used a proxy while playing. Or should I not say anything like that? Sorry, I'm really terrible at this.

    You self-ice right?

just say you thought you are going to be busy for some reason but after that you realize that you can still play neo

Do Not mention that you cheated.

Treat it like you never did anything like that on the account.

By the speed they are dealing tickets I do not think the ticket have be seen

probably deleted after you self-ice. Not very sure.

May have been a good idea to cancel the ticket before icing, but what's done is done right!

Hopefully they look the other way, it would be a shame to lose a player over a small cheat like that. (Especially if you buy NC.)

If you self-freeze and then say you want your account back, that'll take forever. This is what happened to me on one of my accounts

Somehow someone got into my account and changed a password. I sent them a ticket explaining what happened. They froze the account for security purposes. A few weeks later, I sent them a ticket, asking if I can get the account back.

It took 8+ months to get a response out of them. When I finally did? They basically told me "sorry, it's been too long" DUDE, WTF?! That's your own damn fault for not getting to my ticket until then!

Yeah, people function under the assumption that TNT is competent. There is no guarantee you will get your account back, regardless of whether they think you are legit or not. But to be fair, you couldn't have done anything better and this is better than any alternative.

This is not actually self-freeze. It is freeze for protection.

I self froze before and i got the account back within 2 months.

and that was before the site was sold

I think they will clear tickets that are easier to solve.

But yes I got the same message for my old accounts as well

Being inactive for 1.5 years and more is so unfair for account you are trying to get back into
