That vid has been around since... well the first time I saw it was in the 8th grade I think so...  2001... it's at least 14 years old if not older.

Quite possibly older as I think it was around when Hamster Dance was a thing.

I'd love to know how they're going to update the site, and how long that's going to take. I mean, if it takes them over 6 months to fix lag, I'm wondering how long it'll take them to do any of the stuff they said they  were going to do.

I actually going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they didn't fix the lag because they allocated their resources for a new site revamp. If I were in their shoes, I wouldn't fix the lag if it meant dumping the old site format in the end and putting in a new lagless one. It's like buying new underwear instead of sewing the hole in the anus area.

Well if you'd been working for a company for 14+ years and it was acquired by someone else and you were just "let go" wouldn't you be pretty pissed off?

 

I'd think that whatever is causing the lag would be easily fixable, yet it hasn't been dealt with for months. I find it hard to believe that none of them knew how to fix it.
