I have a job interview on monday

I got paid for Memorial Day even though I haven't passed my trial period yet. Also get my health insurance started early. Perks of working for family.

Best friend took me in after my mom kicked me out so I don't have to move back in with my ex. It sucks being so extremely indebted with somebody and feeling like a foster child or lost puppy, but it sure beats being homeless or living with your ex.

Not today but I made homemade sushi for the 4th time yesterday. Two maki rolls - crispy orange ginger tofu with red pepper, cukes and oyster sauce, and soy ginger marinated shrimp with homemade spicy mayo and cucumber, topped with a bit of whole wheat panko for crunch. I also managed a uramaki roll - buffalo chicken with lettuce and sweet chili sauce. I'm rarely pleased with anything I do as I always think I can do better but this shit was legit. It looked like something from a restaurant and it was so delicious it didn't need any soy for dipping.

 

I'm actually proud of myself right now. Damn.

Thanks to my ex-wife I'm finally on the right type of medication.
Treatment for bi-polar instead of depression.
And now I'm a real boy normal, properly functioning human being.

100% organic weirdness all on me now. lol

So life itself has been steadily improving in general these past two weeks.

 

Today was absolutely fantastic.
Got even more responsibility at work in the form of running the entire Long John Silver kitchen by myself.

(Further proof, among other things, I'm being fast tracked to management. ETA 2 months now instead of 6.)
Then I realized that I was the only guy working the Open - 4:30 PM shift.
(Certainly no complaints as both the old and new crushes were working with me.)
Then both of them have suddenly become more talkative and shit with me.
(Whereas the past month or so I'd mostly come in, do my job, leave without saying more than a few sentences to anyone.)

Then as I was clocking out I practically had a walk of shame pride with the morning and night managers AND the few staff that's been there forever practically singing praises at how well I'm doing.
Top it all off with a lovely ride home in my new (to me) 2002 Buick Le Sabre while jamming to Kamen Rider themes with the bass up. 

Plus my roommates are gone so have the entire apartment all to myself.

 

I honestly don't know how this day could get any better....

Today, I learned someone I know has had feelings for me...which is interesting in its own right. And I found out my 8k in new restaurant equipment will be in tomorrow morning so I can get that all set up and ready to go for another good week.

For me, I finished filling out my custody papers and will be filing them this morning. And by the weekend my buddy and I should have put our down payment down on a nice new boat so we can open our side business. As they always say, once you hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up, so I'm taking that advice to heart and am going to achieve my dreams and goals with the help of my kids now that I'm not being held back anymore!

No. I called Friday, and they said it would be unlocked in 15 minutes. LIES, all of it. But yeah, anyway it's unlocked now and I don't have to feel stressed about spending what little I have on my U.S. debit card.
