Survived a full weekend of camping with the boy, didn't get sunburned, had a lot of fun. Life is good.

Got back to school! I'm super excited for the semester, even though I already miss being free :v

 

Also, I'm really close to getting a student loan, it would help tons.

I had a lot of good today.
1. It was my first day back at work (which sucked) BUT I got a raise of over a dollar an hour, worked out a plan with my supervisor to cut hours leading into quitting, I'll get free copies of the new Harry Potter books, and got some paperwork for my midwife to fill out so I can have a little more freedom over my breaks.

 

2. I got a letter from the school saying the oldest monster is auto-enrolled and I don't have to do anything other than make her show up on the first day.

 

3. I got called "tiny" twice today.

 

4. No one is home so I'm naked.

I finished the summer semester of graduate school yesterday, and I also interviewed for a promotion at work which will result in a ~50% increase in salary if I get it.

ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG I never tried submitting anything to Neopets Picture Competition, because people put a LOT of work into it and I never thought mine would get chosen. But, I'm trying everything on this new main, and they chose one! I'm a picture competition champion, for a manip I made a decade ago. I'm way too excited about this, but, woohoo!

 

Also, I was able to talk my department into funding me for the last semester, so I have a job again, But, picture competition. Priorities, you know?

I got off work early, it's overcast and "cool" instead of melt-your-shoes hot, and I got the grocery shopping down. After 2 today, I have literally no responsibilities until Saturday.

I finally got through to the company to return my tickets. Trying to use an app to call internationally isn't easy. 3 different phone numbers later, I finally got my tickets returned.

And most of my utilities moved over for moving in 2 weeks Productive day, which is good!

I'm hiking 2 of the NH 4,000 footers tomorrow with my friend! I know that happens tomorrow, but I'm excited about it today. For those who don't know, there are 48 official peaks in NH that are over 4,000 ft and I live right in the middle of most of them. Excited to go hike 11 miles

I had to renew my driver's license and was in the DMV for less than 45 minutes. It was fast enough that I told my attending there was another patient I wanted to check on before lunch, and she was none the wiser...

Today is free float day at A&W (A&W/Long John Silvers) and we were busy as hell once it started at 2 PM, but I was prepared. Had some difficulties with my two co-cooks today. One gave me attitude because he was one of two that trained me "but this is normally the slow part of the day" and shit. The other is a new guy, first job, questions everything just because I don't wear the blue management shirt yet. Then customer after customer after customer started arriving and they saw I wasn't just talking out my ass and knew wtf I was doing. That's when they both shut up and started listening to me. 

 

Only once did we run out of anything and that was fries which are best fresh anyways. Takes a whole 3.5 minutes to cook. Other than that I kept us rolling like a fine tuned machine. Boss was happy. Customers were happy. I felt like a champ. Good times, good times.

 

Then to top it all off got a free float before I went home.

Was informed I passed my "security check" and my management book was on the way. 100% set in stone now.

What a perfect way to end the day.

Every Saturday there's a live band outside the front of my house under a canopy on the grass, they're actually pretty damn good and do a lot of covers. Everything from The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines, Oasis, all the biggest rock/indie tunes, I love it! Best way to wake up for sure, a free gig outside my house I live next to a pub too so you can just grab a drink and go chill outside.
