    Damn you!

BREAKING BAD, WHY IS IT GOOD:

Like I said, the show is art. Every episode is like a movie (especially the pilot episode). I heard they spend an average of $3 million per episode, which is a lot for TV shows (and a lot considering Breaking Bad doesn't use fancy special effects). The show doesn't rush into gimmicky explosions or fight scenes; its an honest, more true to life show that has it's own pace.

As for the characters, the main characters are very relatable, at least in the beginning. Walter White, the protagonist, is a do-gooder high school chemistry teacher that struggles with the morality of cooking meth to secure his family's future. He has to deal with his web of lies in order to keep his family unaware of his illicit activities. And then he turns more ruthless, at which point I suppose the show gets harder to watch (haven't got there yet).

The plot is interesting. The main characters are incompetent at drug dealing, so we get to see all of their failures. It's actually rather exciting to see them barely pull through and keep going.

That's all I have to say about Breaking Bad for now. I only watched 2 seasons so far :p

Oh man, BB only gets better to watch. Your interest and feelings about the characters grow along with their character development.

HA this is the other thing about not drinking! Everyone keeps telling you that you just haven't had THE RIGHT DRINK! Where's that XKCD from juuuust recently, about all beers tasting like crap. I feel it's relevant. What you put in your mouth should taste good. Not "after getting used to it" but right away. Otherwise WHY PUT IT THERE?

The worst was when my friends tried to convince me to drink. They said that I don't like it because I've never got drunk and that you can't have fun in a party without drinking. I love being sober while my friends are drunk, it's way more fun.

Thanks for reminding me, I'm 6 episodes away from finishing this series. I should get off my butt and finish it! Definitely one of the best I've watched in quite awhile.

Is it strawberry flavoured with cheesecake pieces mixed in? Or just strawberry cheesecake flavoured ice cream?

That sounds magical. Need to look for that the next time I go grocery shopping.

My favourite flavour is probably green tea or coffee.

I was never interested in drugs, that's why I haven't watched the show until now. When I watched the pilot episode, I was wondering if I was watching a movie or a TV show. That first episode is amazing, it definitely got me hooked.

Nah, every episode is more engaging than many movies I've seen. Go watch the pilot and you'll see :p

But I like action, lots of action, and from what you've said, it's not like that :/

It doesn't throw action in your face to make up for bad plot, because it doesn't have bad plot. There is some action though, but not all episodes. Just try to give the pilot a try :D

It's more drama than action, at least the first few season are. I never really got around to watching the whole series because the pacing was a bit too slow for my liking.

Have you watched Burn Notice before? That has a lot of action / explosions and hey who doesn't like Bruce Campbell?

Speaking of beer (again), there's a place out in the Czech Republic where they fill a tub with beer instead of water, definitely on my bucket list.
