OH ITS A DRINK. I thought it was a mixer, like those bottles of margarita mix. "Just add booze" sort of thing.

You know what's REALLY good. Jack Daniels Lemonade. You can't taste the alcohol and it goes down like water. I drank 6 of them and went to order pizza. I was too drunk to order. They just brought me free pizza for effort and I cried because I didn't know what I wanted.

I literally called, asked for a pizza and when they asked me what size I just broke down. I was like, I don't know, I just want a yummy pizza because I'm drunk and it's good and please can you just make me a pizza? Best free pizza that I hardly remember ever.

I just .. don't like the alcoholic taste? Lol. Maybe I haven't tried enough. Need to find something that tastes more like juice and less like alcohol.

 

I had this cocktail (yay for £5 cocktails) that I can't remember the name of. It was vanilla, and sugar and I wanna say rum(?) and raspberries. It was delicious and fruity.

Ah man I'd kill for a free pizza when drunk. I'd kill for a free pizza whenever. Luckily a good friend of ours owns a Turkish eathouse that also makes pizza and my husbands does some fixing jobs for him like fixing the sink or replacing the floor or w/e. Sometimes we get paid in food rather than money.

Am I the only one here that doesn't really like alcohol?

I've never tried, but I hate the smell most alcoholic drinks have, and I don't really see a reason to drink it. I've had plenty of chances to try, but I'm fine without it.

A; That's actually really interesting... the notion that people are still coal miners. Literally I imagine it as the old 1900s when people talk about coal mining, but it's still very much a thing.

 

Sucky about the mine shutting down (I think, there's also the notion that it sucks to work in them.) I'm sure he does, but, :Stay safe!:

 

Mining is still pretty big here in Canada, we mine for salt, iron ore, gold, potash (I still have no idea what that is but it's huge out in Saskatchewan) and maybe we have one or two coal mines still. It's actually a pretty interesting industry to learn about; like gas detection originated in coal mines because they had to ensure that the workers had enough oxygen and that a mine wouldn't explode because they hit a methane patch, first they'd have canaries for the oxygen and I think oil lamps that would burn higher and brighter with more methane (don't quote me on this though). Pittsburgh is probably the gas detector capital of Norther America with Industrial Scientific, MSA and Draeger all within 40 miles of each other.

I'm the same way, usually I only drink socially. Haven't been drunk since maybe January or so.

Beer is the worst. I'm convinced no one actually likes the taste but just drinks it because it's cheap.

HA this is the other thing about not drinking! Everyone keeps telling you that you just haven't had THE RIGHT DRINK! Where's that XKCD from juuuust recently, about all beers tasting like crap. I feel it's relevant. What you put in your mouth should taste good. Not "after getting used to it" but right away. Otherwise WHY PUT IT THERE?

That's a good angle. But man, maybe it's because most of them are/were Army guys, they're just so f'cking annoying drunk.

It's like being a dumbass is a sport that just get's worse when they drink. "MAN CHALLENGE" everything's a gd man challenge.
