I still need to play with the demo and participate in this. ._. eventually I'll get around to it.
I went with #4, as did most. It was pretty spot-on.

That sounds like a good change to make. I do enjoy seeing the live screenshots, but it does create an unfair advantage.

To be different I went with something other than 4. These are all solid entries.

It is, and the person who did number 4 isn't wrong for doing that. But for the next contests, it will be just the creation part, so people can have the same chance by having only the demo.Isn't part of the challenge to create the essence of the person though?

Yes, but I think the goal is to portray them specifically through the sim creation.
Also, those who don't have the money to put into the game are at a disadvantage when it comes to judgment if there are flashy live screenshots to compete with.

To be fair #4 looks the most like Sweeney. The Sim itself.
I don't see where anyone said they voted based on the setting of the screenshots, besides Nymh saying she loved it. So it's not really an "advantage" in my opinion.

I wasn't going to say it, but I did vote for #4 specifically because of the chess screenie.

Fair enough, I think it's entirely subjective though because I don't personally think in-game screenshots are better than in CAS mode. AND Swarley already said he'd change it next time.

Right but everyone is going to vote based on their own preferences anyway, whether that's the style of hair someone used, or the setting of the screenshot.

I just don't personally think it's a disadvantage. I think that's subjective. But you gotta do what you gotta do, I suppose. I just think people will find every reason to complain if they are feeling competitive enough.
