It's that time! As promised, we are opening up applications for those interested in becoming a moderator for Neocodex. Now's your time to prove yourself!
Those who are interested will be applying for the Junior Moderator position. From the batch of applicants, we will be choosing 2-3 members to join staff. After a three months probationary period, those who were selected will be moved up to full moderator status and receive all of the privileges that come with that.
We are looking for positive applicants who have a drive to continue to improve the website! There is no account age or rank requirement as those are not always indicators of how good a moderator you will be (I was a adv+ when I became mod!)
What does a moderator do?
The most important of a moderator's responsibilities are to keep watch over the site. Among other things, this includes taking care of issues that may arise as well as keeping the site nice and tidy.
Moderator Responsibilities:
1. Your primary duty is to enforce the official rules of Neocodex. Due to the subjective nature of some of the rules, this is often an art more than a science, which is why working together with the other staff is very important.
2. Along with enforcing the rules, you must also follow the rules yourself.Your behavior sets an example for other members!
3. Because you will be a representative of Neocodex, you may receive various questions about the website and our many services from other members. You are required to be courteous and conduct yourself professionally.
4. Staff meetings will be held on occasion. Because of the different time zones, we may not be able to accommodate all of the various schedules. If you can't make it, you can keep yourself up-to-date with the notes taken during each meeting. You can also ask questions and propose ideas in the secret staff area of the website.
There are other things expected of you if you are offered the position but those will be discussed with you when the time comes.
Feel free to apply for the position! Remember to be serious and professional about your application. Once the application closes, staff will discuss our options and those who are chosen will be contacted via PM.
Good luck everyone!
