@Scot you're wrong. Also - I bet they're all trapped in the soul stone or something and most if not all will come back. Though it would be a genius way to get rid of some characters so that a new wave of heroes from the comics (miles morales, the new girl who has iron mans suit, etc) have a reason to be introduced. Can't wait to see it again on Tuesday!

Yes this. Fantastic portrayal of Thanos, felt like he became from this crazy evil big bad stereotype, to an understandable person in just a few scenes.

Overall though, I felt like it was too much. Even an hour in, it was like, too many things going on man. But with the buildup over the last few movies I felt that I had to watch it anyway at this point lol.

so it seems the running theory is that strange gave up the stone because he saw that Stark was the one to defeat thanos (set to happen in Avengers 4). Also a common theory is that everyone(?) gone now is trapped in the soul stone and/or will come back via the time stone?

Fucking awesome movie! I wasn't even going to be see it until I came to redbox, but we ended up going last Friday on a double date. So glad I saw it in the theater.

Yeah it's pretty obvious Strange knows what's up and giving up the stone was setting the one winning future in motion. He wouldn't just have a moment of weakness for a new friend when he was so adamant he'd let the others die to keep the stone safe.

"My" theory is the remaining Avengers will be forced to sacrifice themselves to bring everyone else back.

It just so happens those are the Avengers with contracts possibly ending and it's fitting to pass the reins to the next batch of heroes.

It's a shame though. I love Chris Evans as Cap.

Oh, that makes sense. It would also settle the contracts thing, didn't think of that. No wonder that only the new Avengers were left. My brother told me about the soul world thing but we didn't catch why the remaining Avengers were the original ones.

 

It's a shame indeed, but I guess they can't just all have permanent contracts forever just because they're so big.

I also like the theory that they are trapped in the Soul Stone. I think it was hard for me to even feel sad about their deaths because I know it's not permanent. Although, I think Loki and Vision may stay dead as their deaths were not Soul Stone related at all and let's be real, someone has to die. The only way for everyone to come back would have to be related to the Time Stone, I suppose.

I agree, although my brother pointed out to me that Vision's consciousness may be stored in the Mind Stone, and may be simply reconnected to his body once it is placed back there.

I'm very sure Loki and Heimdall are dead-dead though. Their contracts can't last forever anyway lol.
