How do you live with a conscience knowing your site forcefully stole, raided and self-froze the account of your own members, and then sneakily sold/gave back the stolen goods back to them?

 

And to be fair for Codex, it's been tested for a year and it's been known to not work during the Altador Cup games. Other games are fine. It's not exactly good either, but nothing like how you make it out to be.

I trust everyone here who makes these programs and I understand that there will always be a risk no matter what site's program you use. I don't go to other sites because this site has treated me well and helped me earn millions upon millions of NP without getting frozen. I also don't use the programs in a dumb way that will flag me.

And yeah, I've been on a few sites (DAE HiddenBelow?) but this one is by far the nicest.

That's not how it is at all. I have posted a detailed guide showing members how to packet sniff the applications they use (including the official ones by the programmers) so they know they are safe and are not having their info sent anywhere except Neopets servers. Fake news, much? What about Codex allowing a user to advertise & blast his web-based Neo-bot that sends usernames & passwords to his server where we don't know what's happening afterwards? Wake up.

 

The majority of the people responding here took my post the wrong way. I was just trying to warn everyone the score sender here is still publicly downloadable and few members are unknowingly using the unsafe bot... If you guys are cool with that, maybe I underestimated the community standards here.

 

And please don't label Neopets botting in such a direction. Bots can be made safe, as I have demonstrated for years.

Why does this community keep an unsafe program available for people to use? Do you guys want your own members to get flagged/banned?? 

These programs are free and easy to use at least.

The number of times that I typed something out only to have erased it to avoid completely derailing this thread is astounding.

 

Few things I will say.

 

a) We released the Score Sender back in 2011... not this year... So this claim that "we released something for this year without testing it" is insanely stupid. I expected more from you.

b) Asking if we (the community) want our members to be flagged/banned on purpose is clearly some ploy to get a reaction out of people here

c) This is your second attempt at trying to point out the "flaws" in the software that Valorious is building... At least they are trying to help, instead of bitching and complaining... You have your own "site" to run - I suggest that you spend more of your focus there instead of trying to convince our members to go use your programs

d) Please leave.

I got flagged for using SS last year's AC and was not banned. So I wouldn't really worry too much at this point unless you ran it for a long time for a lot of scores (in which case why weren't you checking?)

I'm glad I didn't miss any drama. I love that the SS works 11/12 months of the year but the one that it doesn't *Burn Codex Down!*

 

You know what the safest thing is? Not cheating. Barring that, I think we're in a pretty good spot. Would I like to SS these terrible games? Yes, but I'll live with AOB, because it's almost as safe as playing legit.

Hey, I am glad we are atleast talking about the AC! I didn't want it to dissappear from Neocodex this year!

As much as I like a united front, I also like that we're all doing our own thing this year. 

 

It would be fun to have a Team Codex, but instead of one team, we just all say what games we maxed out and on how many accounts and such. Keeping specifics to a minimum in case of *prying eyes*

 

Anyway, wine calls to me. Not sure I'll be coherent in like 45 minutes. 

 

ETA: My 200th post! And it's a good one, I think.
