Post Requirements
1) Begin each post with your character's name in bold text.
2) Each post must be at least three sentences long.
3) Your character must remain in the thread for at least two posts. This means that she or he cannot exit within the same post that she or he entered in.
4) Your character's exit post must be clearly marked at the end. Example...
Nick Fury caught a gli'mpse of Dark Phoenix hiding behind a bush, pointing and laughing at hi'm.
"Can't a guy tiptoe through the tulips in peace around here? Enough is enough," Nick shouted at her indignantly. "I'm going home!"
[Nick Fury exits the pretty garden.]
5) Thoughts are in italics.
6) Telepathic communication is in italics, and it begins and ends with two asterisks. Example...
The smell of freshly brewed java filled Ti'me Bomb's nose as she entered the kitchen. She regarded the coffeemaker with a hint of mischief in her eyes. Just as she was about to snatch it off the counter, Cable glared in her direction.
** Don't even think about it, you little wench. **
Shoving her hands in her pockets, Ti'me Bomb slowly backed away from the counter and quietly pouted.
7) Flashbacks begin and end with two colons. Example...
Doc burst into the kitchen, struggling to catch his breath. "Cable, come quick! Seraph is being chased through the streets by a mob of rabid fangirls from that Catholic boarding school down the block!"
"Again?" The Weapon Pri'me leader rolled his eyes and let out an exasperated sigh. Abandoning his seat at the kitchen table, he quickly followed Doc out of the room.
Ti'me Bomb's face lit up, realizing that Cable's poor little coffeemaker was now completely defenseless against her.
::** Don't even think about it, you little wench. **::
The girl paused for a moment, then shrugged. A sneaky grin spread across her face.
"Mr. Summers told me not to think about snatching away his coffeemaker," Ti'me Bomb said to herself, fiendishly rubbing her hands together. "He never actually said I couldn't do it though. Muah ha ha ha ha!"
8) Your character can only exist in two threads at a ti'me - one in your team's headquarters and one outside your team's headquarters (New York or Global Action).
9) You are expected to post at least one reply to each thread that your character is in, at least once every four days. Any character that remains inactive for more than 96 hours will be removed from the thread by one of the moderators. For more information, please read the Static Virus explanation.
10) Posts should be written in past tense.

Peter Parker hopped in his Cadillac and took a drive to Hell's Kitchen. The bass pumping out of his car's stereo system could be heard three blocks away. After slowing down to check out the hos on the corner, he pulled up to a 7-11 to buy a 40 oz. bottle of malt liquor.
The following is an example of a post not written in past tense...

Battle Post Requirements
In addition to the Post Requirements listed above, the following rules will apply to any posts that involve characters attacking other characters (battles, rough housing, bad tempers, etc.)
1) There may be no more than 2 attacks on 1 person before they reply.
2) If a character that you attacked has not reacted to the attack within 24 hours, you may attack them once more.
3) No more than 1 defense per post. This can encapsulate multiple attacks, if those attacks are somewhat si'multaneous.
4) No more than 2 attacks per post (2 attacks divided between 2 characters or 2 attacks on a single character, not 2 attacks on 2 characters totaling out to 4 attacks), and they must be realistic for your character's abilities, weapons, and/or level of power. Basically, if one attack is intended to injure more than one person, that counts as 2 attacks. We know that this rule can be confusing. If you have trouble understanding it, please PM one of the mods.
5) Posts of this nature may only be edited for grammatical errors and typos. Battle attacks and defense moves may not be changed, added, or reworded unless they were invalid.
6) Any questions or disputes in regards to a character's powers or power usage must be sent to a moderator via U2U and not the RPer you're playing against. If you receive a U2U message from another player questioning your character's powers or power usage, you are to forward it to a moderator ASAP, without replying to it -- this is a requirement. Any violation of this rule from the sender or the recipient will count against your level promotion.
7) No instant kill moves are permitted.*
8 ) No double posting, unless...
a. the thread has been inactive for over 24 hours.
b. you are posting for more than one character.
Invalid Posts
1) Disruption of continuity.*
2) Inappropriate use of OOC knowledge.*
3) Unrealistic response to another character's actions.*
4) Unrealistic or unauthorized control of another player's character.*
5) Any violation of the Battle Post Requirements.
Replying to Invalid Posts
Here is what to do if you've encountered an invalid post in the thread you're playing in.
1) Begin your post with an OOC note alerting the previous poster that their post contains errors. Politely point out exactly what the errors are, otherwise the player probably won't know what you're talking about.
2) You do not need to send the player a PM, unless you think it is necessary. One of the mods will take care of that.
3) Treat the invalid post as if it does not exist -- this is a requirement. Any post acknowledging the content of an invalid post will be considered a disruption of continuity. That means your post will be invalid as well.
Note: This does not include disputes in regards to a character's powers or power usage. See #6 under Battle Post Requirements listed above.
Editing Posts
Invalid Posts must be edited in a ti'mely fashion. If you have not corrected your post within 24 hours or if there have been more than two replies posted to that thread following your post, it will then be subject to deletion by one of the forum moderators.
Please keep in mind that if you've been asked to edit one of your posts, it doesn't mean you're a bad RPer or that the mods are out to get you. It si'mply means you made a mistake. The best way to learn from your mistakes is to correct them. Everyone in the RPG will screw up one of their posts sooner or later, including the mods. Don't hesitate to point out our errors too.
