I just dled it and I am very I'mpressed though it is slower the IE it is much better in terms of quality.  I also dled the ad-blocker as an extension and it is working wonders, for example on Neopets I just block all those annoying ads and bingo there is no more ads on Neopets. I suggest if u dont want ads on neopets then u should dl Firefox  :p

Type about:config in the address bar, then type 'pipelining' in the filter box and change 'network.http.pipelining' from false to true, and 'network.http.pipelining.maxrequests' from 4 to 100...

blackhawk is right, that will make firefox a lot faster...firefox is better than ie in all respects including safety since it blocks a lot of scripts being run on ur computer from websites along with stability.

You can... use X-Dotec (formerly X-Setup), it shows the 'hidden' add/remove list...
But I'm not sure if removing IE won't make your windoze self-destruct or something :p

thats really the only way ie got such a big monopoly...because it comes bundled with windows...and people are too lazy to download a better browser and just use ie because its already there...

So true... I have PocketIE on my HPC and I'd get rid of it INSTANTLY if not for the fact that I can't find a browser for WinCE2.0 :ranting:
