You don't have to hack into the database to get that information. That's what SQL Injection is for.

Do they even use SQL? I thought they were running Oracle?

I didn't say hack, did I? It was an exploit, not a hack.

    Keep in mind:
Contrary to what many people claim, no one has ever hacked into Neopets, accessed user information, accounts or usernames. The ONLY means by which a user can have an account stolen is when they inadvertently or intentionally gives away their password.
    :p

    Maybe they're just stupid?

There's someone on this board who has hacked neopets. I'm not sure if he or she has accessed user accounts but I know that Neopet's servers lagged like crazy.

    Apache v1.3.33 (Unix)

He was asking what kind of database system Neopets was using. And yes, they're using Oracle last time I heard.

But I doubt simple sql injections would actually work in those caseS? as a programer proficient in using SQL databases thats the first thing I think about, lol a simple EX '1==1' should not work lol especially on neo, if it does TNT really are idiots.

I highly doubt anyone did sql injections in this day and age of neopets I could see this having a REAL helping ability back when things where diffrent, but aye things have changes and sql injections are far to basic and to well know for neo to leave then unprotected. ((though some games or forms may be vunarable)) but certianly not logins or user info

You thought I was serious? :p

Neopets is technically owned by Viacom, so therefore they are part of a multi-million dollar company.

Nice little guide you missed out alot tho.

The first neopets cheating site was neorevs.
    http://www.neorevs.de.vu

I cant remember all of the old members but Glurak was one of the admins. He was the creator of the HTTPWrapper and alot of other programs. He was an amazing neopets programmer.
neorevs got taken down there was rumours that it was hacked but I dont think it was.

Digibliss came about in early 2000 it started off well. It came about because of Nhacks, nHacks discrimonated many members (Digital and neo_grl), everythign changed when digibliss was created. Digibliss made many competitions and watched where the members came from. I.e. the refers, showing that digibliss was alwasy on top. neo_grl released her first digibliss.ocx in april 2000 it was a basic verification system. which was dublicated and hacked at nHacks. The battle went on for years. Until nHacks got a law suit against them from neopets.

neopianhacker - It has been around since the early days of digibliss 2000 was the release as well. It was first created by andrewski, neopianhackers has always been the neutral forum. The main admins where from nHacks I do belive. It held the main places for arguments between hydrogen and neo_grl memorable days.

Ah yes, the digibliss days and neopianhackers days @_@ So fun, Neopian hackers was always neutral like shabba said. They would occsasionally have some problems with other sites due to leaking and hsit like that but it eventually got resolved and everything went back to normal. I really gotta update this, just havent had the time. I keep saying I do but I get caught up with other things :(

    You was young then :p

The tombola wasnt really hacked as such. They left a very stupid line of coding in there. It only stopped you from pressing the button more than once. Using a = Flase line. People changed it to = True and made millions :p
It was touch and go tho as you only ever made jackpot every 10 goes or something.
