I was thinking, what countires has how many nuclear weapons...

List is of January 2005

US 10,640
Russia 16,000
United Kingdom 200
France 350
China 400?
Israel 200
India 110-150
Pakistan 75
North Korea ~13

Suspected Nuclear Nations:

Libiya
Iraq
Iran

Countries That Gave Up:

Argentina
Brazil
Algeria
Ukraine
South Africa
Belarus
Kazakhstan

Others:

Germany is not allowed to have any nuclear weapons because of its "bad history" said the UN.

Now if any war starts... what would happen? O_o
Thats it... End of the world
A couple of bombs around the world and thats it...

Discuss..

Russia has more nukes then the US? Wow.

I think nukes will prevent more 'civilized' countries from having a war mainly because if they have a war with nukes the vitor will barely 'win' and would get a dead planet as a prize.

The fact that anti-semetic countries have nukes is what scares me. If they set on of on Isreal for example Isreal will respond in kind and get the Americans to help, the country that sent off the first nuke would be olbiterated, other Anti-Semetic countries would sympathize with whatever country started and bomb the States and possibly UK for not interfering and then the Middle East is screwed.

Unlikely and probally doesn't make sense but that's what I think

um...just so you know that most of the nukes that russia have are out of commision they had them when they were part of the soviet union and now most of them don’t work. But again if anyone could fix them they are not really guarded at all in russia because no one wats the radion posining that emits from them.

If you want to be technical, a type of ANEB (Anti Nuclear Energy Bacteria) is probably going to be designed in the future by some dumbass, resulting in the end of that threat. Manbearpig is the only real threat anyways. I'm super serial.

Yea 16,000 means nothing for Russia. They prolly have about 500 actually operational ones. The rest are all broken down, prolly more danger to Russia itself if launched.

I dont think Nukes are bad. They are bad if they are launched. But they keep lots of things at bay.

Well... I personally think russia is gonna use some of those nukes. If your religious and believe in the apocolypse (why not so many prophecies have been correct), It says the great bear of the north (Russia) will attack Israel but Israel will be supernaturally protected. ALSO if youve watched the news at all lately about Iran you should suspect they have quite a few.

Russia has more than 500, but they don't have 16,000 anymore by any means. But they do have enough to cause damage if they needed to. As for nuclear weapons being good - that is a good point. However, the only way to prevent another Hiroshima from happening 100% is by removing nuclear weapons. Other weapons do the job, such as oxygen missiles.

Anybody that has one nuclear missile has the power to cause damage if they need to. I would think that if Russia had so many nukes then you would think Ukraine would, because I thought they were close. Maybe not. :( lol, I used to be smart.

Yeah, the first person to lay a bomb is dead. Since most countries have allies they would help and then they would blow everybody up. :(

Ukraine and Russia are both very good trading partners. Both used to be a part of the former Soviet Union, but they both have a strong relationship. However, Russia trades common goods with Ukraine, and vice versa. Very rarely have they traded missiles, and they've never traded neucs.

Actually, youd need way more than 10. More like 100, if you want to take out a good chunk of the world. Even then, there would still be quite a few people left.

In the case of war, it would be very likely. However, Russia nor Ukraine have plans to ever enter another war. It'll happen one day, but I doubt in a 50 year timeframe that they will enter a war. By 50 years, who knows what could happen.

yea lol no one wants to start a war... especial a nuclear war..
But right now I heard that Russia has some problems with Iran about the oil, because Iran keeps increasing the price of oil and both Russia and America are thinking of taking it over... once someone tries to go there then Russia, America and China will be fighting for Iran..

that's a somewhat unsusal view of the state of play, it doesn't take the opperational state of any of those warheads

if you think that an engine on blocks is the same as a race-tuned formula 1 car, fueled and prepped for the track, then yeah - these figures are fine.

I recommend you look at how many of these warheads have effective deployment.

here's an article that sort of explains what I mean - http://www.foreignaf...ar-primacy.html
