So it seems you all guessed everyone except the correct answer. The answer is that they are both
TRUTH TELLERS
First lets think logically.

Truth Tellers can only tell the truth
Liars can only lie

So if a Truth Teller is asked what he is he can only say that he is a Truth Teller

Liars can only tell lies, so if he is asked what he is then he can only say Truth Teller
So the first guy mumbled that he was a Truth Teller since no matter if he is a Liar or a Truth Teller he would have to say he was a truth teller.

Then the second guy said that is what he said and he really is a truth teller.

So then the second guy said that he said he was a truth teller, which he had to have said, then the second guy said that the first really was a truth teller.

So the second guy said that the first was a truth teller which if he wasn't then he would have to say he was a liar...
Yes it is very confusing, but it makes sense when you think about it.

how I thought of it was the first guy mumbled so he must be sick of tellin the truth and the second guy said he was a truth teller whih is telling the truth. I seriously dont know what you guys were thikin that mumbling bit wasa dead giveaway to that riddle.
