So Alex had a riddle and here is mine.

A traveler went to a distant land where their where two types of people. Liars and truth tellers. The liars could only lie and the truth tellers could only tell the truth. The traveler had no way of telling who is which one so when he got their he decided to ask. A man passed by the traveler and the traveler said to him. "Are you a truth teller or a liar?" the man mumbled under his breath so that the traveler couldn't understand him. The Traveler just continued on until he met another person. He asked this person if he was a truth teller or a liar. The man responded with That last guy you talked to said he was a truth teller and he is a truth teller and so am I.

So the riddle is

was one of the guys a liar and one guy a truth teller or where both guys truth tellers or where both guys liars?

Their is a logical way to figure this answer out, it just may take a few moments for you to get it.

Both liars.
Since nr. 2 said that person nr. 1 was a truthteller and so was he.

umm..first guy: liar
second: truth ^_^

just because the second one said that the first one said that he(the 1st) was a truth teller doesn't mean he is..
riddles are supposed to be misleading..

So it seems you all guessed everyone except the correct answer. The answer is that they are both

TRUTH TELLERS

First lets think logically.

Truth Tellers can only tell the truth
Liars can only lie

So if a Truth Teller is asked what he is he can only say that he is a Truth Teller

Liars can only tell lies, so if he is asked what he is then he can only say Truth Teller

So the first guy mumbled that he was a Truth Teller since no matter if he is a Liar or a Truth Teller he would have to say he was a truth teller.

Then the second guy said that is what he said and he really is a truth teller.

So then the second guy said that he said he was a truth teller, which he had to have said, then the second guy said that the first really was a truth teller.

So the second guy said that the first was a truth teller which if he wasn't then he would have to say he was a liar...

Yes it is very confusing, but it makes sense when you think about it.

It took me a while to understand it to. Just think about it. It all revolves around the statement the second guy made saying that the first guy said he was a truth teller and he is a truth teller.
