I'm sure that's a generalisation, but the only girl ever to punch me was.

And most guys dont slap. Unless they're slightly effeminate...

So if someone gets slapped their reflex action would tend to be to punch unless they managed to stop for a second to think about what they're doing or if they dont really like fighting.

That's why you shouldn't punch anyone It's easier not to do it than a) deliberate about doing it, b)feel guilty afterwards for doing it or c) getting done in for doing it.

Oh yes. It's much more fun. Although most revenge plans end up as drunken prank phone calls

Again, as stated before, there are those beastly women who overpower men.
