Anyone got any predictions on some possible late playoff continders?

Steelers- Even with Big ben hurt and Randel El gone, they picked up 2 early draft recievers, and with willie parker fresh out of the superbowl the steelers will be the team to beat.

Damn, I ran out of time. Will be back to post more.

Anyone else got any?

Have to agree with you on the Steelers if Big Ben is healthy, they can go far.

No! The Saints are the team to beat this year. :x

I live in Louisiana. That could quite possibly be the reason I feel this way.

Yeah, I agree that the Giants are going to be good, but I'll have to disagree with the titans and cardinals. Rookie quarterbacks are never good for the team.

not the qbs man.i mean check out the cards. edge, antrell rolle, larry fitzgerald, all they need is a good d and they are set. leinart has potential , i dont know if hell bomb yet i'll decide that in the preseason. titans have volek startin as of now. hes decent when mcnair was out a lot last season he put up some big numbers in some games. titans also got david givens from the pats so another good wr. saints meh idk. bush is a bigtime player but i just dont know right now

It's not just Bush. They've had Mccalister. If they can use a splitback offense, I think it would work great. They also got rid of Aaron Brooks, the worst quarterback of all time. They picked up some good defensive players. Signed Drew Brees. I just think that they will have a dominant season if they can get everything together. Thye will at least have a winning record.

Ok i'm going to have to say no to the saints and yes to the cards. The reason no to the saits is well basicly I live in Wisconsin and well I was at the game last year when Packers beat the saints like 50 sum to 0 or whatever. And well Packers had only 2 or 3 wins that year and wear basicly the worst team so picking up a few new people I don't think it will help them enough to make a big playoff run

And the cards they seem to have everything they need to succeede. If they arn't good this year then in years to come if Leinart stays with them and becomes a real QB then they will be very hard to beat.

    Dude. Aaron Brooks threw lateral passes. When he scrambled, he'd get sacked. We have Drew Brees now. ^^;
We got Anthony Simmons now and some other Jujita guy for linebackers. We have ok corners and an ok defensive and offensive line. We have great wide receivers, two great running backs, and a great quarterback who is in his prime. How can you not favor the saints? This coming year is SO much different from last year.

It's going to be quite the rebuilding year for Green Bay. I'm hoping for a .500 record...just hoping AJ Hawk fills the missing link for our linebackers.

    Redskins anyone?

Randel El, Brandon Lloyd. The schmexyness? All we need is a new qb. :(

I don't think Green Bay will have a very good year. Redskins? Possibly. They still have Jason Campbell.( Me=Huge Auburn fan ) xP

Jason Cambell isn't the best quarterback ever but he really is pretty good. He can throw and scramble. He kept up with Auburn's option offense. He was actually closer to being in the Heisman race than Ronnie Brown or Caddilac.

It's not like Ben was unbelievably good...he had a great team with which to play. The Bears have proven plenty of times that a talentless QB can go deep in the playoffs. Not to say Ben is bad, he's a great leader, and a very strong guy...just saying he's a bit over-hyped.

Ben was pretty good, but look at Eli Manning. He was so hyped up and his first year wasn't that good. Ben on the other hand had a great team to back him up.

Well, the Vikings lost Culpepper. They don't have a very good quarterback.

I think it's good to see them getting rid of all the pieces of crap on their team! Seriously though, they could win 2 games or they could win 8, all depends on how the division plays.

Lol granted, steelers Defense. AWSOME. But think about it. Big ben went undefeated in the regular season his ROOKIE year. HE WON THE DAMN SUPERBOWL HIS SECOND YEAR! What more can you ask. He did it without Plaxico AND without bettis having a 1000 yard year. All in his second season. He would be awsome in my book if he only threw 4 inerceptions in the Superbowl. Thats whats expected from a second year player.

Jim McMahon won the superbowl for the Bears in his 4th year...everyone thought he was good and after 15 years, he retired, not being in the top 20 in a single QB category. Ben was given amazing receivers, great RBs and one unbelievable defense, much the same as Jim Mcmahon in the 80s. I'm simply saying that at least 12 of the starting QBs in the NFL would've had no problem doing the exact same thing with the talent he had around him. He's a very talented, and very smart QB...just probably not as good as some think...we'll see where his stats are in 10 years. Jesus, look at what the Bears did this year with virtually no QB at all!
