Hello everyone,

There was once a time when Neocodex was hosted on a free server and was only 150 members big. When Neocodex.us was launched, we began fresh on our new paid servers and decided to archive the old Neocodex on those same free servers that we had used for the first three months of the board's lifetime.

These archives were previously accessable by going here: http://s91155572.onlinehome.us/forum/

Recently, Hydrogen and I were talking and we decided that we should centralize the hosting of the archive on our main server in case the free server were to fail (so we do not lose any of our past).

The result is what you see here. We have reuploaded all of the old files/content and placed in here for archiving purposes.

So.... if you haven't checked out what we looked like 2.5 years ago, now is the time to go.

Oh, by the way everyone, a little insight: The old Neocodex ended on March 2nd, 2004, because of an attack we experienced that consumed the site's bandwidth for the month (which rendered it useless for a whole month which is why we switched hosts). The attack signified the beginnings of a long conflict we had with a certain site.

I also want to bring a special quote to your attention. It was a large part of my inspiration in my earlier years with this site.

I think we should be satisfied with whatever we are at right now and just work on improving stuff for ourselves rather then worry about who is the best board out there

Possible reasons that you werent accepted:

* We simply dont know you

there were other reasons why people voted no, but they only came up once or twice. These reasons are the ones that came up a lot in the voting forum.

Wow, it's awesome to see how Codex and it's oldest members have grown so much. I've spent quite a bit browsing around reading all the old topics. One of the funniest being MorningStar's (XBullet, I think) response to making Private.

Crack was eventually banned for something (not really sure what, I think he was leaking stuff to other sites... don't quote me on that though).

I think that is correct. Crack changed his name later to Gagan which is short for Gagandeep (his real name) and was from australia. He defected from codex and helped with nrealm and was moving our restricted programs and information over there. I think tutorials went too. He was banned as SL said .

You will see that a lot of these new sites started from people who were originally on Neocodex but defected .
