I would happily give them some money if I'm sure that they would buy food with it.
Some of them just buy drugs or beer with it though x_x

I would donate to more the people who've had their homes taken away... but if you're living on the streets the chances are you didn't try hard enough when you were in-school, so you couldn't get enough money from a scabby job and quit.
Even if you didn't have the chance to go to school, I probably wouldn't donate... it's not my problem that you wasted your life not trying...
Lol yes Hobo everyone DOES have an opportunity to get a good job. He should use the money he gets to hmm maybe go down to ross or marshall's and get a decent outfit, then go to the ymca and shower. I think that everyone can get a job. Even if its at McDonalds. I mean that's how they get started. My Dad used to be a hobo now he works for microsoft and we have a nice house that costs 700k+ and are moving into 1.2 Million dollar house next August.

Anyways my point is that anyone can stop their addictions and clean up their act a little.
Just to comment on the first line of that post:
Not EVERYONE gets a good chance at school, zachafer, and looking at your post you sound pretty damn wealthy so you probably wouldn't understand too well that some families have a hella load of trouble sending their kids to even the cheapest of schools.

Now back to topic. You dont relize, a lot have mental illness and things like that. Like alchole addiction, and they need help but cant get it. Its like this woman who had an illnes that was cured by physcology, and now she is earning good money.
Not giving, well you could say its a bit snobish but if you dont have much and cant spare a bit of cash then thats ok. If your using the excuse they will spend it on drugs, then buy them the food and give it to them. I remmeber watching a tv show by Michael Moore (The Awful Truth, very funny) and it showed in a country, the homeless are given an all weather mobile home.
And sometimes, it mighten be there fault. There parents might have died, or they could have had bad upbringing, or born with illness. Stuff like that.

i thinks its more sad seeing a poor person at the food shop that cant have enough money to buy bread and milk cause they are out there working and arent lazy. Me and my dad were shopping and saw a guy on thanksgiving and he had $10 and he need another $15 to buy his turkey and bread and ect so my dad gave him a 20 but he rejected it and said no i used my money on smokes before but my dad gave him the money for being honest.
that is exactly right
