No, it's not okay to tell a lie at all. A lie is a lie. Who said anything about calling someone a "dumbass?" Plus you're under oath like Generic Nolander mentioned.

Plus, if the police found out that you lied to a judge, you face criminal charges and could possibly go to jail for it. It's also a felony.

It's honestly not worth lying - about anything for any reason. It only causes problems in the long run, if not corporeal, but spiritually.

In a court case if you are over it at all, there is a likelihood of getting the ticket. Unless you are charismatic

Not really. If they increased the limit by 5, people would go a little bit faster than that number. If they take off 5 MPH off the speed they actually want you to go, people will go past the lowered number and be going the higher speed.

I didn't get a DUI I was speeding, i dont drink, i dont smoke, im clean, but i wanst speeding, i was only going 5 over, he said i was going 68 in a 50 when he pulled me over, TOTAL BS

Sorry, I misunderstood your statement in your post of "cops need to callibrate their damned cars". I have known a few people with DUI's and they had to "calibrate" their cars with a breath machine.....the wording is the same...that is where I got confused. I didn't think you were a drinker, that is why I was surprised. lol

Is the licence suspended or revoked....even underage in Illinois if you are going less than 20 over the limit, your licence is only taken for about 6 months....usually less. I can't imagine it being too different in other states.

It'll get better...it'll be hard to see that at first, but this may be the cause for some really good things to happen later.

Well, I want proof of God.

I want proof of evolution - the chain and what started the initial process. We all want alot of things, very few actually come to us. I can sum it up in a word - Faith. When you truely understand what the word means and what it's applied to, you dont need proof that God exists.

I didn't say I could prove he doesn't exist... but Us, and the universe. There's a more logical reason than God. If He DOES exist, how did He get there, and why doesn't He prove it Himself?

FYI, the speed your speedometer says you're going is about 5mph faster than how you are actually going, so there's less chance you'll speed. That's why there's always a difference between the speedometer and any gps stuff your car has. So if you get caught speeding at 40, it'll say 45 to you inside the car.


Anyway, sorry to hear about it Icey. Life gets tough, but at least you have a car and a family. Look at what you have, not what you've lost.
