no. I grew up having a father for half my life. it turned out he was gay. He then made me go visit him on a regular basis with his boyfriend.

I'm traumitized now. He still hasn't told me he's gay he just thinks a moron but I'm not.
It pretty much ruined my life knowing I had a gay father in my teens when I really needed a father figure the most.

Then why don't you just tell him that you know?
He clearly wants you to know.
And needing the father figure part. I'm guessing you had a good family life where your parents helped you out when you needed it.
You don't really need to have a father figure, what is it you need help with? A girl? Your friends? Need some advice? You can get all of those from a friend.

He left my family when I was 8. Sometimes things are better learning from your father then it is your mother especially during puberty. I have a brother who is 6 years older then me but he was always doing his own thing with his friends and never really has the time to spend with me or my family. Still to this day he's like that.

Anyways to keep it on Topic I disagree with gay adoption.

Well...I mean, I was only 9 when it happened to my dad so we didn't have any hostility, my parents were just divorced.
But you never know when you may need him or something. I don't know...

Gnome, what your father did was cruel, I agree. He should not have married and had a kid if he was gay, but think of it this way: He's your father and without him you wouldn't be alive. If he had come out earlier then you wouldn't exist, so I would be grateful he waited.

That kid will feel extremely uncomfortable in public with you and even at school because no-one is ever gonne stop staring. Ever. It's just the way people are.
