Guests can read some of the stuff but not everything . They can read like general chat and neopets areas and stuff just to get a preview of what codex is like . But in order to see the rest of the stuff they have to sign up .

I think you should try looking at the board as a guest...they can see practically everything.

I think it's a good move. Personally, lurking around and not having access is what made me want to join even more!
From your point of view, what is the best thing we could do to attract more people to us? Any suggestions since you have recent experience with that stuff .

Well it was the secrecy of it all that really got me. I cannot really remember how I stumbled onto codex but my desire to join was reinforced by the numerous ads on places like msn groups and the like. Personally I feel that once codex gets members they will stay because of the great atmosphere but I think we need a more aggressive advertising strategy to get the word out.

Yeah I agree...and have been thinking of how to accomplish this for a long time...We have the referral contest going on currently and that's doing well. We do need a more aggressive advertising strategy...

I've been letting it loose on the msn groups since yesterday. How about through google adwords or whatever the system is called?

ugh, You took off the Neopets General Chat perm for Guest, and Neopets is what they come here for so its not a good idea. I was just kidding when I say they gonna jack my hint on MP.
Think about it, if they like the hint they will coming back every week to check and sooner or later they will register because they want the answer.
