If you would like to avoid server errors for the nexxt 24 hours here are a few thigns you can do individually.
  • 1 post/topic per minute max
  • refrain from search for topics, find them yourself
  • dont refresh every few seconds
  • if the server goes down, wait a minute before checking

I'll post as fast as I want, but other than that I already follow those suggestions. Searching for new posts is stupid o.o

Dude, we don't clean out our member base for a reason, they may come back and be active. (See Eeyore... and others) Its not a problem, its the rapid refreshing that people like you are doing as you scramble for your 100 posts.

The only search I use is the one that lets you see recently posted in topics.

We just all need to be patient, I'm sure if everyone works on their time when the server gets too busy it will get better. I hope.

Why would people at Codex want their 15 minutes of fame? Want it to be anonymous?

searching for something only takes 1-2 page loads, looking for it yourself could take 10+

I raised the waiting time between searches even more, and removed searchign for validating members. Server load has stayed low.

But it takes a strain on the server, the topics are already there, it has to regenerate a new list of topics each search.

Testing searching restrictions, removed searching for members /adv members/ validating members.

that still doesn't change the point i was trying to make, searching puts as much strain on the server as loading a page (maybe i'm wrong, but i don't see how different they could be) & it can be a lot more efficient when it comes to server usage. if i wanted to find the topic where hawk says "i love penis in my pooper" it could take me 1hour or panning through topics, but with the search bar one page load.
