I checked my sent folder and it's empty...lame?
I was hoping to find a link in one of the pms I sent but alas that's not possible

I think you have to actually check the little box which says to save a copy. Admins can probably turn it on as default though.

When i want to save it, i just click the save sent message box

It would be good if it was automatic though. I have gone fishing for messages I have sent in the past and found I didn't save them

Yea all other forums I've been had it automatic.

Yeah there have been some times where I wish it was automatically saved as well. I almost always forget to check the little box. Hell, I didn't even know you could save PMs you sent until like 4 months after I got here.

I go to sent and the last pm in there is from 2005 lol.

In our ACP we already have this set but if it's still not working then that is weird...unless someone just set it

From what I know, though, wouldn't automatic sending be a waste of space AND difficult to implement?

No it would not be a waste of space, you still have the PM limit, sent pms are included
And it's not difficult I think, other forums have it.

It's just a matter of adding "selected" to a checkbox...the hard part is to find where that checkbox is

You can do it from AdminCP.

Look & Feel > Edit template HTML > Messenger > send_form_footer

Then just add checked="checked" into the add_sent part.

Any chance of getting an option added in Board Settings so we can disable it too? Otherwise it means my PMs filling up twice as fast as usual because I know I won't bother to uncheck the box all of the time.

I personally don't use any sent function, and rarely need to...and when there is a possiblity for me to do so, I usually remember o check the box sooo...=/
