No it isn't. 22/7 = 3.142857...
pi = 3.141592....

A much more accurate (but still not exact) fraction of pi is:
355/113 = 3.14159292...
pi = 3.14159265...
Actually, it can't.. Pi is irrational, and has been solved out into the thousands and thousands (if not millions, hell I don't keep up with pi)

Even though, they already proved that is was absolutely unending, no matter how far it was solved out, in 1761 by showing that that no numbers, no matter what, could express pi in the form of p/q because p would have to be both positive and negative at the same time.. which is impossible.

How did they work that out? Hell if I know.

Pi: 3.14159265....
The last digits are 65, not 56.

Man . They lied to me . I seriously thought it was 22/7 and never actually checked because I took someone's word for it. That's really stupid of me. Now I look like a dumbass.

It is just an approximation for pi. Makes doing the math a bit easier, especially if you lack a calculator.
