I don't think so. We let people argue about pokemon, religion and all kinds of things, and in my opinion things are more lax here than at other sites.

I'm not even talking about Neopets. I'm talking just about the community.


Basically, staff, short of the Admins. I understand the administration placed them there because they believed they would do a good job..but at this point, its ridiculous. Bias and personal grudges has practically taken control of how this forum is governed. Little things that would previously go by without a second thought, and would earn only a witty remark from someone else are now receiving warns (e.g. the Sonic being warned for calling someone a dumbass.) Its just out of control. I love this forum, its pretty much my E-home, and I don't plan on leaving..but I do think thinks are becoming somewhat silly.

I'd like to agree, but the "Old Codex" will never exist again. To wax nostalgia over the past is normal, but to achieve it is impossible. Just a note.

Travis, how would you fix things? Remove all staff and renew?

Sonic being warned for calling a someone a dumbass is fascist? On other forums I go to, they ban you for a couple of days for that. Frankly, staff has little to do with the state of codex. This forum has a fetish with staff, staff barely affects the actual forum and people just keep focusing on staff...I know I made a post 2 weeks ago that said codex is too strict but I realized that was just nonsene and you should too

On a side note:

This ties in to a paper I'm in the process of writing on the causes for decay of a golden age and how to initiate an age of prosperity and excellence. Something educational I'm doing right now actually ties in with real life. I'm in shock.

I'm sorry to hear that forums you frequent are that censored. I don't approve of what things like what Sonic said, but it should be the spirit of a forum to disapprove of actions like that, not the law of a forum. Perhaps it is the spirit, influenced by the ghosts of the past, that has dissipated to a degree?
