I never think to specify because ice hockey is nowhere near as big a thing over here. tongue.gif

Field hockey is virtually nonexistent in the States. tongue.gif

Yeah NBC does that over here. They show it basically the entire day, so there's always something to watch day or night. tongue.gif

What is on right now?

/Prays for women's beach volleyball.

    Field hockey ftw.

My current choices are swimming highlights, live archery, live equestrian eventing or live hockey. Bored.

Ugh, equestrian has just been taken over by more archery. dry.gif

It honestly depends what gymnastics event you're talking about. Older people tend to do the rings as they require loads of strength, there's a 35 year old Bulgarian competing on them and they said he might do London as well. I love gymnastics, easily one of the hardest events.

Rowing is awesome, can't wait to see GBR women's quadruple skulls against China. It's going to be intense.
Biggest WTF moment was when I noticed myself subconsciously cheering Estonia in one of the rowing heats xD

Time zones peeve me off, I couldn't watch Federer cuz it was on at 7:30 though Murray is on. He was down a set last time I saw and now it's not on multi screen (<3) anymore. I'm guessing rain, again.

Also, Ali, how on earth can you watch equestrian. It's one of those sports I can't stand. I'll admit the difficulty, even though I've never ridden a horse, but damn it's so boring! They were walking down a line sideways blink.gif

Britain's men's 8 rowing are looking good, and Adlington was amazing beating Hoff.
any of you guys seen the white water canoeing?
    oh, and Andy Murray sucked

I competed in showjumping right up until last summer so I'm fairly interested in it. tongue.gif

Although saying that I learnt to sail as a kid and I can't stand watching the sailing, saw a bit of the RS:X this morning when I was waiting for the diving to start and fell asleep.

Fuck the olympics. 16th of August is when the real sport starts.

Also, who would spend $40 billion on the olympics when half your country is starving?

And the water situation is even worse. 1we8.gif They actually took water out of non-renewable underground aquifers to refill a dry riverbed for the Olympics water events...beautiful irony.

Most of the events are shit too, I don't really see the whole hype of it.
