This is really Kitsune's idea but i got thinking, we have a list in the programming area of programs that need making. Now... i started preliminary work on an avatar grabber and it turned out someone else also started work on an avatar grabber (Sida?). So i stopped mine and left him to it, but i figured how about we have an official list of programs that need doing, and a link next to each program to "claim" it. So say we had a list like this:

Auto Buyer [claim]
Avatar Grabber [claimed by JAU]
Sloth Decoder [claimed by .........]

so people can see what needs doing, and what is being done. You should only be able to claim a maximum of 3 projects at a time because 1) you shouldn't be trying to manage more than that all at once and 2) leaves stuff that other people might want to do. Clicking on the program title should take you to a page where the programmer can give an overview on what they plan to do and how far they are into it. This should be updated at least once a week and if they fail to update it in that time they should be removed from the program to give someone else the chance to make it. Once you've finished a program you should be able to just tick it off as complete, it would also probably save you time when writing the program description as you could include the overview and updates you've already written.

The moderator of the section We'll assign full programmers and programming leaders the duty of maintaining it. Sound like their thing right?

What about old school game trainers to get some trophies. Unless SS is now the standard. Never used one before so I dunno. At this other trading place I've heard SS are getting ppl iced cuz tnt tinkered with the code a bit.

And uh Neoquest trainer/autoplayer. You promised JAU. crybaby.gif

Would be good to keep track of who is working on stuff and track their progress, but the problem is who would be responsible for updating it and collecting the info. If there's a problem where people take on the same project at the same time, well there's no harm in having two of the same thing, but it is a little bit of a waste.

The main problem with someone claiming a program to make is that one person might be truly excellent at a certain type of programs, say ABs, but someone who was merely looking for something to do, would take that. So the better person for the job is unable to do it in a way.

The system should automatically track people that claim things and finish things and the programmers themselves should update what they have done. It could be made so instead of one person per program it just gives you a little warning if someone else has already claimed it and you want to do it too.

I think someone should make a basic as pebbles autobuyer for regular members. It would attract people to the site and hopefully a percent of those leechers might like the board and become active. Half of all the members who have 1000 or more posts probably first just came here to the site to leech.

I could do a really basic autobuyer once I've finished my current program. I always put my programs in Advanced Member+, but I guess if I just made it simple for the sake of member+ it shouldn't be too bad.

I think theres a rule at the moment that all MSAB's have to be in Advanced+. If you made it so that all it did was buy stuff at a shop you chose, and no other options... i guess it might be sucky enough to not be classed as an MSAB tongue.gif

Lock the noobs in to certain shops. tongue.gif Advanced gets the AB and can choose any shop. Sounds like a possibility? xD

Tiki Shop.

Thats not cool. Either that or you could purposefully make it a half second slower when buying. tongue.gif Just some way so the advanced version is superior. tongue.gif

Or yanno, codex should stop being stingey and let the programmers releases whatever programs they make to whomever they choose.

Also a program to do list i wouldn't say is a good idea, because if i wanted to make something, even if someone had claimed it, i would just make mine better than theirs.
realistically a programmer is only going to make what he wants, or something that alot of people have been badgering him for, and chances are some of the programs on the list not that many people are going to give a shit about.
Then again, we will always have the people who are trying to make a name for themselves and will release as much shit as possible just to get a rank, so all of the programs might get done, but wouldn't you rather have some programs which are done to a high standard than have lots of not so good programs.
On the other hand it would be good for people to know what kind of programs are needed, but we already have a list for that and it doesnt need as much effort as you are suggesting, if programmers want to make a topic showing updates on their works then they can but i doubt everyone would, just seems too much hassle for any real worth.
