She can't even read or write yet but she can use the internet, its crazy.
I came home after the gym and she was watching It's Always Sunny in Philly on Hulu with my headphones on. When the episode ended she actually clicked on the next episode. I also saw her click on pause/play, I shit you not.
Once I left my room to get some food and I come back and she's watching cat videos on youtube. I already had youtube open but it was like to music, I have no idea how she got to cats.

Ealier today I was reading a book with her, trying to teach her how to read. We were going letter by letter and we come across the word "ball."
She goes "B....A....Pause!"

That's unusual. Most children do not do that until they're about 7 or 8. I started reading and recognizing small words at about a year and a half according to my parents but honestly that's not the norm tongue.gif

I used to play all sorts of educational games on my mom's old early 90s IBM laptop like reader rabbit and such. Back when the floppy disks were still floppy. Children, if raised with computers, can pick things up extremely quickly. It's just us old farts who get slow.

Apparently when I was young (2-3) I had the whole process memorized on how to start Flight Sim on my dad's computer... and from what I understand that was no easy process... blink.gif

We still have a windows 3.1 comp sitting in my room at my parents. The games are simply awesome, and still play them when I'm a bit bored while visiting the parents.

I remember playing the magic schoolbus games, I loved the space one.

I also remember playing a game about a secret garden off one of the actual floppy 6 inch discs earlier on.

oh ya the magic schoolbus games were lots of fun

The other day I saw a little youngster with an iPhone when they were walking home. It could have been that they stole it prior to leaving school, but still they had it. Technology is instilled into the minds of kids who are getting younger and younger every year...

I can't decide whether it's good or bad though lol.
