i did a DNS lookup for codex's domain and it looks like the site is hosted on more than one server, idk if a nasty a-record is causing this trouble or if the other host just goes up and down... but this should be looked into cause its a real pain and has been happening for a while
Annoying 404 error.. when using www.neocodex

Sadly, our only active admin isn't very active at the moment because of a personal situation. I'm sure if I let him know the problem he'll fix it right away.

I would have, but she was unbearably stupid.
According to all the info in front of me, the default host is neocodex.us, additionally the wiki should be dead but that's still floating about.

righ tnow the default is www., the entire website is still structured in that format.. im 90% sure if there's an option in IPB to manage this. you should be able to set the default hostname as neocodex.us. if that doesn't work then there is no getting around this DNS issue and hydro or whoever runs the hosting/domain needs to fix the arecords
