No, just offering to pay programers large sums of money to program for us. Shit, I didn't even require them to stop programming for other sites.

Actually other members of my forum have done much more recruiting than me. I only targeted programmers. I think i asked travis to join and thats all.

I don't have a problem with you offering jobs to programmers but doing it through the PM system here and before asking permission was just taking the piss. That lack of respect is just disappointing considering how long you've been here.

Who cares if it's not your homework? Why isn't SHE doing her homework and being responsible for her own classes? You shouldn't expect us to do that. We are there for help, not a workhorse.

And I don't think think Laser was saying that. You own your own site now and you shouldn't be taking advantage of our site.

WTF shit is this?
I never expected anyone to do it.
Just asked.
And never called, or implyed your a workhorse.

Quick point.
We have a lot of codex's highest ranked members. Think they know alot about stuff?
I have not asked anyone to leak anything.
And none have.

No one has said that our members have to leave here.
NO ONE.
But it has been implied that members of NeoSin should post on codex.

Are you stating that this is going to change?

No its not a threat.
Just a way of saying no more mr. nice guy.
Good luck tet.
Tetiel says:
Honestly, you should not try to control what programmers can and cannot do. That's rude and they will NOT want to stay with you.
How can you treat this like an aggravated dictatorship?

I am paying them. They work for me.

Hm....

kinda made my point for me?
I didn't have any regulations about programmers being on other sites.

Post I made in Neo-Sin staff.

Look.
Guys, we are all members at codex.

But, This is getting riddiculus. All the plans I had for the other sites, to get members and such we excluded codex from the planning. And then they act like we are dong so much "harm". like **** said. They are scared we are going to succeed.

QUOTE
how funny
josh; accept the inevitable

your site will die
you and your 'lot' will come crawling back to here
just like so many of us have done in the past

so i suggest you attempt to secure your position of member on this site, if you catch my drift

They are officially our competition. I am going to have to say that paid programmers cannot release new programs to a rival site(codex now included sadly, was there choice though).

We are a business, and we cant let our employees help the competition take money away from us.

This feels wrong to me, but I think it's better in the long run.

This shit is stupid.

Not only do you have the mental acuity of a three year old as far as art theory goes, you have the melodramatic capacity of one to boot.

Save your girlfriend the embarrassment and just miss the deadline.

Or buy her another puppy.

HI I'M SORRY YOU MISSED YOUR CRUCIAL UNIVERSITY ASSIGNMENT DEADLINE FOR UNSPECIFIED REASONS BUT HEY, HERE'S ANOTHER PUPPY

Firstly, I'd like to not see what I've seen in the topic spill onto the site. While it's great to see you guys stand up for codex, I don't think it's going to be necessary. smile.gif

I have zero objection to our members being active members of both communities. It's always been the interest of Neocodex to attempt to remain friendly or neutral with other sites, we have never been actively aggressive towards another site, even when they have been so towards us. We're not going to start with a site that doesn't even exist yet.

As for Sonic trying to recruit our members to his site, it's not exactly a surprise. If he's interested in making a site that'll last beyond a week, we're probably the most logical first stop, besides darkztar. If he's keeping it off the site, I'm not going to stop him, even if it was within my capabilities. If it's happening on the site though, I'm going to simply ban/delete any accounts I catch at it. I'm not worried about any recruitment efforts anyway, because if the member has any amount of sense would at the very most, remain active at both sites. If not, no big loss as far as I'm concerned, they can stay gone if it suits them.

Also, codex members, if you intend on joining neo-sin to troll the site (outside of what you do to troll codex anyway (Cory, Eric)), don't. I don't particularly feel like dealing with that, so I'd appreciate if you could behave. Thanks in advance.

Look people: I did not fucking decide to make Neosin with Josh so I can rub my ballsacks in all the faces of the members here. Any previous affiliations, history, and/or alliances a person may have before becoming apart of the Neosin community is of absolutely no value to me. Staff members are judged by their skill in specific fields and assigned accordingly on the website. I'm not running a fun filled community where children can come on after school and have fun. I'm running a business aimed at maximizing profits by capitalizing off a point based economy ran by trained staff and kept alive by talented programmers. This idea was made clear to every person joining the Neosin staff.

Going to "war" against communities focused around the same genre we are producing in is simply immature and foolish. Companies do not go to war, they simply out-do each other by providing something either better or unique to their customer base. In the case of Neosin and Neocodex, we do both offer the same type of programs for the same games, and thus obviously a natural rivarly is setup, but whether or not a person chooses to take this rivarly to the point where they PMS if one member happens to be apart of both forums is out of my control. I'm not interested in playing games, Neosin is NOT the new Neocodex.

That being said, anyone joining Neosin who also happens to have an account here was clearly intrigued by our business plan, enough so they bothered to register an account. How this decision on their part has anything to do with any one of you here is beyond me, and I think it's simply childish to personally attack that person for making the decision.

I cannot agree more with you. As I said to Oaken before, I honestly hope that nobody actually thinks of anyone differently because they decided to join another site. We do not pretend to control any of our members. tongue.gif That being said it would severely disturb me if any discrimination happened to members who joined neo-sin sad.gif

I figured I'd give my own two cents, as I've avoided this topic since it started. I joined NeoSin because I was asked if I wanted to come on as a GFX Leader and a moderator. This site is just a drama-filled hell hole now, and it is becoming so deprived of activity that, well, you unbanned Ian to spike it up again. I cannot recall how many times I have offered to help with promoting the website, advertising, graphic work, but I was either ignored or my help wasn't desired, and frankly, with half of staff missing, next to no programmers, an owner who has a bot posting for him, and just constant drama and conversations with little substance, it was nice to be asked to help start up a new site.

The funny thing is, you all blame sonic for stealing your members instead of yourselves for running a spotty operation.

For the record, I'm not leaving Codex because I happen to think that I can be a member at both sites and no have any conflicts, so please don't create any.
