It is being discussed between admins currently. The action was in response to Codex being deemed an enemy by neo-sin's owner. This happened because of a misunderstanding that our members apparently speak for codex's staff. Their harshness towards neo-sin supposedly means that the neocodex administration is harsh towards neo-sin. Obviously our administration didn't take their words and actions lightly and decided to take action of their own. What a member says and what an admin/owner says are two different things. This does not discredit our member's opinions, but the words of our members and what is said here do not necessarily reflect the opinions of our administration and under no circumstances should it be mistaken as such.

Does the administration really think Kitsune will leak information from private and retired? I highly doubt it. I more feel that the administration is concerned about the current situation and have taken steps as a precaution. It may or may not stick. As Slinky says, there is a very important meeting with all administration scheduled. Hopefully this will be discussed and resolved so that appropriate measures can be taken.

That was what I was hinting at. As far as I know there isn't exactly anything damning. Sonic is already getting leaked to by other sources all the private information he wants. I'd actually ask people to stop leaking to him, but it's obvious they wouldn't stop anyways whoever they are. Their friendship with him is more important than their rank. *shrug*

I don't see what all the fuss is about tbh. Neocodex has been going down hill for a good while and unless Hydrogen and Cam, no offense pykle or steph, return to being active admin the site is going to continue to die a slow and painful death. I'm glad that Hydrogen keeps paying for it monthly so that we can at least sorta keep in touch. I met pretty much my best friend on this site and I consider a few other members as really good friends but I am sad that I only talk to them around here now in days. With out codex I'm sure I'd still talk to them, but it would be a lot less frequent. =/

As far as neo-sin goes, good for them. Their forums are nicer then ours. Their staff is active, of course that's from the initial motivation but I don't see it dropping too much. Their general atmosphere seems to be decent. I see a few things that I think they are going to have issues with eventually but from my extensive lurking I think they have a very good base to have a good solid community or whatever the hell they are aiming for.


--Edit: I think demoting Kitsune from retired was completely unnecessary. Everyone knows i'm not a huge fan of Ange but she doesn't come off as the person who would actually leak anything, assuming there was anything to leak.

In all fairness, we've outlived them all.

We could still live for years to come, but it would require us to shift our focus from Neopets. Their site is dying too, which could explain part of our demise.

Either way, I've had a good time here -- it's taught me a lot. I have no regrets, and I'd be happy to help with a codex rebirth.
