I have to do my girlfriends uni art homework.
I have to make eight of these.

QUOTE
Final Project: Art Timeline

In the final project for this course, you assume the role of a museum curator who receives the following e-mail from the Director of the museum:
Following a meeting with our museum’s Web design team, it is now my priority to improve the content of our museum’s Web site. We decided on an interactive timeline focused on one art medium. It is your job to choose one art form such as painting or sculpture for the timeline. You must also have a common theme for the artwork you select. If you were to choose sculpture, your theme could be “20th-Century Sculpture.”
Whatever you focus on, make sure you do not make the timeline too long. Ten works should suffice. After selecting the ten works of art, write a short paragraph to accompany each one.

? Select one art media on which to focus. Examples would include painting, architecture, performance art, or film. While these are broad areas, you should select a single medium and then make your timeline focused on that single medium.

? Research the Internet, the library, and Appendix B, and find ten examples of your chosen media that are thematically connected. Examples of thematically linked art media include:

o Greek figural sculpture (Sculpture of people)
o Black and white film noirs (old movies)
o International video art

? Organize, in a Microsoft® Word document, the ten works in chronological order and include a 100 word minimum paragraph for each in short essay form.

Final Project Overview and Timeline

Art Timeline

Your final project provides the opportunity to apply formal analysis and evaluation skills that you developed in past weeks. In addition, you have the opportunity to engage in research regarding iconography or symbolism. Researching your theme and selecting works builds appreciation for art as well as critical thinking skills.

The format for your final project document must be the following:

Image of artwork (if possible)
Fig. #
Year created
Title of artwork
Artist’s name(s)
Medium
Museum or institution who owns the work
Paragraph in short essay form that includes the following:
Formal Analysis (describe what you see and the design as a whole)
Historical (in what school of art does it fall)
Interpretation (any symbolism in the work?)

Consider the following example:

I already did 2 on paintings, so if someone wants to make a few of these small paragraph things then that would ROCK I have to have 8 more. Im going to start working on it, but its due today.

Post an example of what you did. If it isn't too hard then I'll give it a shot

In this painting Achilles of Greece drags the body of Price Hector around the city of Troy. In the second drawing Priam, who is the Kind of Troy is kneeling in front of Achilles and kisses his had. The gifts that Priam brought to bargain for his sons body are all around. This drawing is almost like a history book. The painting is more or less historically accurate. I personally think the piece of artwork was made to tell the story of Achilles and the Battle of Troy, which is a very popular tale because it includes the famous “Trojan Horse” were after being defeated in Battle the Greeks led by King Agamenmon faked retreat across the sea and hid 100 men inside a large wooden horse. Disguised as a gift, the Trojans brought the giant horse into the city. The men then sneaked out and opened the gates. Troy was then burned to the ground.

Thats all it has to have.

Codex is okay to ask for help with homework. It's unethical to ask us to do your homework.

Sure.
Because me and other members have made another site, I should just stop posting on codex?
So Raui, urban, Kitsune, oaken, and athean should all stop posting cause they are staff on another site?
Well fuck. I wanted codex to become active again, but if we all leave, then thats like half the activity....

Who cares if it's not your homework? Why isn't SHE doing her homework and being responsible for her own classes? You shouldn't expect us to do that. We are there for help, not a workhorse.

And I don't think think Laser was saying that. You own your own site now and you shouldn't be taking advantage of our site.

Pretty much. Poaching members from one site (before asking permission) isn't something I agree with, although you have to question why those members would decide that they would rather become staff on a brand new site than spending that same time helping an already established one to improve. Seems like a rather odd choice to me.

how funny
josh; accept the inevitable

your site will die
you and your 'lot' will come crawling back to here
just like so many of us have done in the past

so i suggest you attempt to secure your position of member on this site, if you catch my drift

It's their choice to do what they want to do. We're not going to force people to post or program for us exclusively. But because of this topic, Sonic has decided that codex is now their enemy. Take it as you will. He will now start actively recruiting people from our site through MSN. I say to all of our members right now that they are welcome to join that site, but to please also remain here. hug.gif A lot of you have had your roots here, and there are times that I have wanted to leave codex, but I have always come back because I enjoy the people here. I hope you feel the same way.

Yup.
I'm the terrible one.

Cept for the fact I have done nothing but defend the site, and exclude codex out of the list of competitors we want to see fail miserably.

No, just offering to pay programers large sums of money to program for us. Shit, I didn't even require them to stop programming for other sites.

Actually other members of my forum have done much more recruiting than me. I only targeted programmers. I think i asked travis to join and thats all.

I never said you were terrible, but I don't appreciate the threats you've been giving over MSN towards codex. sad.gif I also don't appreciate how you now say that your programmers can no longer create programs for codex. Programmers you have attempted to recruit through our PM system, yet you don't see the moral fault in that. I don't believe codex would ever do the same to your site, and I'm sorry you feel the need to do that because you got upset in this topic. Perhaps when you calm down, you'll feel differently.

Large sums of money? Expand on that.

I for one shall stick with Codex and not join Neo-Sin. I dislike how you've managed to poach members from this site by offering them positions of staff and no matter how much you beg for me, I most certainly will not move.

I wish you best of luck with the community, however, when and if it does fail.. please come back here with the tail between your legs.

I know I'm not wanted, if you ask Nick (Urban) about our conversation on MSN last night, I told him straight off I shall not be joining that site. With the reason stated above and others. smile.gif
